Friendly service. Healthy smoothies and bowls. Takes some time if ordering in store.
Ordering: People are greeted with a friendly smile as they enter, as long as the staff isn't occupied with making an order.
Most orders appear to be to go. If you're looking to dine in, there are 6 window seats, 5 bench tables, and 2 tables in the middle.
It does take some time to make a smoothie bowl even when there is no one else there, a little over 5 minutes, so don't expect to be in and out unless you order ahead.
Food: The acai bowl is good. The acai smoothie is sweet and slightly tart. The bananas and strawberries on top were fresh and ripe, although you only get about a single strawberry sliced up. Their granola is very crunchy. It has something crisped mixed in it that isn't in the description.
I've also tried the goji berry bowl, which was good too. The toppings are a nice variety and plentiful.
Dislike: The super acai bowl was not a great experience for me. I personally recommend avoiding anything with whole goji berries, ones that aren't blended. The goji berries are unbelievably tough because they use dried goji berries that aren't presoaked. Goji berries are normally dried because they aren't easily available fresh. Less than half was crispy and a little hard, but the majority were really hard to comfortably bite into. If you do manage to bite into them, they then stick to your teeth when you bite into them.
Restroom: There is a clean restroom to wash up in.
Parking: There is free 2 hour parking all around on Washington St and other streets. This area doesn't have...
Read moreThis food is at another level -- fresh, delicious, real. I've had at least 20 salads from here and a couple of smoothies so far and they have almost all exceeded my expectations. They have kale that is soft and chopped to just the right size. They put a dash of cayenne pepper in some salads. The cashews, avocado, sweet potato, goji berries, and so many other amazing ingredients that they offer are always proportioned perfectly and added in with obvious care. And the slice of homemade bread that comes optional with each salad is dense, earthy, and savory. The ethos of this restaurant resonates with me, so I'm convinced I could order anything and love it because it's real food. The staff are awesome, I've enjoyed every interaction and getting to know them through going in so often. As long as this place exists, and places like it, I'll be a regular customer....
Read moreMan I had high hopes for this place. I ordered 2 smoothies and found them both inedible. The chocolate joy just taste like gross banana smoothie and the other one I had also just tasted very much like Banana and A LOT of sugar. They are putting a lot of Agava into the smoothies. They are far too sweet and the combinations they have are not tasty. I think what your daily diet is like will support whether or not you enjoyed this shop. If you have a high sugar diet and want something that just taste sugary and artificial (idk how they managed to make everything taste so fake when its reported to have real ingredients) then this shop will quench your thirst. The presentation and the store itself are clean and well done. I would recommend pretty much any of the other smoothie places in the greater Boston area...
