Daly Ice Rink — Local services in Newton

Advertised public skating on MLK Day. Made people wait in line for almost 2 hours. Left young children standing in the cold without telling them they would not be able to get in. I get it that you can only let a certain amount of people in but don’t make people stand in line for hours. When someone finally told us we couldn't get in after waiting HOURS in the cold they were confronted by a man who worked there who said “Life is not fair”! And he then called the cops on the people who were looking for answers. Wow. Just wow! But they are privately owned so...

I left behind two hockey sticks (my son's and mine) in the rink by accident. The rink is closed when I realized it. I called the rink and left them a voice message but I didn't expect anything happen. After 20mins, I got a call back from Daly rink and the staff told me they kept it in a safe place and gave me the next day schedule. I successfully retrieved two sticks in the next early morning. This is my first time visiting to this rink! My daughter usually go to Boston skating academy but the skating Is closed. I was very disappointed with the cashier very rude!!! She’s yelling at me and said I need to pay first and I said; I know Very upset & I don’t let my daughter to skate without paying,just that I put on the skating she thought that I would run away for $3.
