Forest Hills Pizza — Restaurant in Boston

I was looking forward to trying Forrest Hills Pizza. I noticed that there was black stuff coming off of the pizza when I took my first bite It must have been from the oven. That tells me that the owner doesn't clean his oven often. This is the worst pizza place I have ever been too. I called to complain about the pizza. The owner said there was nothing wrong with the pizza. How would he know my fiance picked the pizza up? The owner said the pizza was supposed to be that way. When I was talking to him on the phone he told me to stop talking I have customers I'm too busy for you. Apparently, he didn't want to hear what I had to say about the pizza. Then he hung up on me. The owner was very disrespectful to me. When my finance picked up the pizza he told me he saw a bug on one of the tables where people sit and eat. The Board of Health needs to do an inspection at Forrest Hills Pizza. If I could give no star I would. I highly do not recommend this...

Two weeks ago, another reviewer left a comment that the staff were not masked up. In response, the owner said "it's not easy to hear but ... it helps us improve." Well, I didn't see any signs of improvement today. I mean, there is a very visible photo of the owner/manager wearing a mask on the Google business listing now, but when I went on a Friday afternoon, neither he nor his employee were masked up, even though every one of the customers was.

I actually like this place's pizza. It's cheap, greasy and satisfying. But we are under an indoor mask mandate in the city of Boston since late August. It's almost November now. This mandate is not news. It also specifically includes restaurants. So while it's hard to hear that your business didn't meet customer expectations, it also pretty hard to hear that your neighborhood pizza joint just doesn't care about customers or...

Food is great and employees are awesome... I was a bit surprised and kind of upset to hear the owner didn't and doesn't give the employees their hard earned tips from credit cards... I have paid with my card almost every time and have added tips for them on my card, yet they never get that money... what a shame! If tipping, please make sure to slip them some cash to be sure they do get it instead of the appearantly greedy owner who isn't ever there when I have gone in to pick up my order... And BTW, It wasn't an employee that told me this, it was from another customer but when I asked someone there if it's ok to leave a tip on the card, I was then told it wouldn't go to the employees anyways but still up to me... so I will just be sure to bring cash for them to get the tip when ever I go there... Just too bad bcuz they deserve to get the tips they earned!...
