TL;DR: 6/5 stars. A no-frills Chinese takeout joint serving up all the comforting classics that'll make the kid in you grin. Ignore any negative reviews.
In 2024 it's virtually impossible to find in Boston: Good takeout like you remembered growing up -- and it makes sense; burnout and turnover in kitchens is at an all time high -- but then there's Golden House: As gleaming as its name suggests, glinting out of a narrow storefront in shining letters, is everything you've been searching for! The Holy Grail, finally some dang good food. I could recommend a bunch of dishes, but that kind of defeats the purpose. It's all good, maybe better than you've had before. When he got home and I noticed it was wrong, I called to let her know because obviously the website is confusing when you’re not familiar with their items and this woman has the nerve to say to me give her two more dollars the next time I come in and she’ll give me four beef teriyaki! How about you...
