Let me tell you something about Moogy's. I searched the Internet for a good sandwich place and stumbled upon this supposed gem of a place which was located conveniently near BC campus. The actual restaurant has nice atmosphere and good music with a lot of space. The menu seemed interesting and tasty. Service wasn't anything spectacular but there was nothing to complain about especially since I ordered a sandwich to-go. Now, I ordered a chicken cutlets sandwich with fried onions and peppers with barbecue sauce. The sandwich itself was microwaved chicken tenders slathered with an overly sweet barbecue sauce and regular onions and peppers that were flaccid and dissapointing in flavor. (As a note, the Department of Justice has issued an alert about these posters as a fraudulent reference to the ADA and has not issued any such signs, nor endorse their content). I tried to have a conversation with the staff working front-of-house about the sign, saying how others wearing masks makes me feel safer when going out as someone with an underlying health condition. They were not receptive and were outright anti-science, stating that masks were more dangerous than coronavirus and referring to "germ theory" and the science around masks as an opinion. I left before receiving my order. No one in the kitchen was wearing a mask either.
This is honestly very disappointing. I was really excited to try their food seeing the good reviews, and the entire place has a very cool vibe. But, I simply don't feel safe...
