Napper Tandy's Rozzie, 4195 Washington St, Roslindale, MA 02131 ☆☆☆☆☆It was a late night home from work, with an errand in Rozzie Square that we stop here at Napper Tandy's Irish Pub. We got the feel this was more of a neighborhood spot, and not just an Irish Pub, as we sat down to get a late night bite of food. When you walk in, there's a large horse shoe bar with high top stools and tables on along the perimeter walls, there's an arch way to the right of the bar that led into another great room with a pool table a more TVs and hitop tables. But we ate on the entrance side at the bar. The bartender had a great attitude & you could tell he genuinely had respect for the customers as he greeting each group of guest as they entered. During our intermittent conversations, while waiting for dinner, we discovered he'll was getting married in a few week, oh so proud of the new event to happen, we wished him many good fortune's. Ok, for dinner, potato skins for appetizer, & I had perfectly seared Medium Rare SteakTips over a mixed green salad. While hubby had the Game day Special with Ribs, Chicken Wings and Fries. The food was Very good, the atmosphere was comfortable and the bar keeper was very cool. We will definately be patroning this...

I try this place out about every 5yrs due to it being so close to where I live. It always disappoints. My first complaint is the beer selection sucks... Basically 90% ipas My second complaint is the food is not great. Got the risotto balls ("arancini")... Outside was rock hard. Had to hold it just to pierce it with the fork. Hamburger was just meh. You can find better examples of both at other places around the square. Third complaint is the bartender. Very nice fellow, but real slow, especially when the bar seats are less than a third full. Fourth complaint, the reason I even bothered to write this review, they over charged me on my bill! Even tho I was completely unimpressed with food quality and service, I left the bartender with OVER 20% tip ($10+ on a $44+ tab).... Specifically making the tip+tab an even $55. Imagine my surprise when my bank statement showed a total of $55.05. unreal. Tried to contest it, but in the end it just isn't worth the 5¢ to pursue. But definitely worth writing a bad review for. Expert level tip for eating here: pay in cash and just go...

The service was horrible, the staff was giving us our plates, drinks and silverware even our food thru the bar table when we were sitting down at a dining table, literally we had to get up to get everything. On top of everything even to pay the bill i had to get up. However i payed with my card and put down 0.00 for tips because my intentions was to pay the tips in cash. EVEN THOUGH SHE DIDN’t DESERVE ANY TIPS because she didn’t do ANYTHING she had the audacity to tell me to give her a 20% tip, (she said she had already calculated it) my bill was $54 so the 20% was around $11, me being kind and because she didn’t do anything i pulled out a $5 just to be kind but she didn’t do ANYTHING. I can’t even stress this enough. She called me cheap but did she do anything? Why would i give her 20% of a bill when she didn’t do her job. She sounded ridiculous asking for money. Fast to ask for tips but lazy to work.. smh This happened tuesday...
