I LOVED this bakery gem. Ethnic Turkish bakes, coffee, and other goods. Still dreaming about their tahini cookies!!! Seriously, every pastry / pudding / cookie I tried tasted super unique and I hope to come back soon.
This bakery is already a standout. I'd love to see it grow and thrive in Allston, as there really is not another spot with pastries like it. One small suggestion that might make the experience even better would be to add more indoor seating. Also, please consider adding a few simple decor touches that could bring more Turkish culture and vibe to the space. I have just done a quick search for "Turkish cafe decor" and saw plenty beautiful ideas, some seemingly simple and affordable. With these small changes, I believe it could become a such a...

The Izmir bomba and Boston bomba? Absolutely phenomenal—the perfect balance of gooey, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. Hands down, the best I’ve ever had! But it doesn’t stop there—everything they make is out of this world. And let’s talk about their baklava… I’ve had baklava in Turkey, and this? THIS IS NEXT-LEVEL. it’s so good that if you told me they had a secret recipe passed down from the gods of pastry, I’d believe it.
Also the person who is always there and baking very friendly and happy and smiling all the time it I’d very obvious that this guy loves what he is doing.
Get in your car, get on a plane, do whatever it takes—just make sure you get yourself to Oba Bakery. You’ll...
Read moreSuch a wholesome new bakery in Allston. The pastries and cookies are amazing, and the prices are reasonably cheap.

American customers mostly consume pastries and desserts either as an after-meal item or as an accompaniment to coffee/tea. Coffee is also a regular purchase item, which will give you regular customers who will not only purchase coffee but also would be enticed by all these gorgeous baked items to purchase them as well. Good luck and all the best for you.
Edit: I wanted to write more nice things about the items and the staff above, but intentionally kept it short to highlight the comment...
