Parziale and Sons Italian Bakery, a luminous cornerstone of Bostonās North End since its founding in 1907, embodies the soul of Neapolitan artistry, its origins tracing back to the Parziale familyās voyage from Napoli. This revered establishment crafts pastries that transcend mere confections: delicate sfogliatelle, their golden, shell-like layers cradling luscious ricotta, dance on the tongue, while cannoli, filled with silken cream kissed by citrus zest, evoke the warmth of an Italian summer. The breadsācrusty ciabatta with its tender, airy heart and focaccia fragrant with rosemaryāwhisper tales of time-honored tradition. Nestled in the North End, Bostonās oldest neighborhood, Parzialeās thrives amid a vibrant tapestry of history. Since the 17th century, this enclave has been a haven for immigrants, evolving by the 19th century into Little Italy, where Italian culture flourished. Cobblestone streets echo with the legacy of Paul Revereās midnight ride, while the air carries the scent of espresso and fresh marinara from nearby trattorias. Parzialeās stands as a living relic, its warmth weaving seamlessly into the neighborhoodās mosaic of festivals, like the Feast of St. Anthony, and historic landmarks like the Old North Church. Here, every bite is a communion with centuries of resilience and flavor, a testament to the North Endās enduring spirit. For those craving a taste of Italyās heart, Parziale and Sons is a radiant sanctuary. šš„š®š¹āØššš

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had my first cannoli ever from this bakery. It was filled fresh and dusted with sugar; we got it to go for a picnic. The Cannoli was generously filled and beautiful. The filling was SO rich (I'm assuming all cannoli fillings are) and sweet. The shell/pastry was crunchy and airy at the same time - I could eat the shell alone all day long! We split one cannoli between two of us and still didn't finish it; simply because of how sweet and rich it was; I'd highly recommend them from here!
We also tried the walnut shortbread cookie (just okay...kind of dry) and the Almond biscotti which I have to say, was the best biscotti I've ever had in my life.
The little shop was cute and quaint, and smelled like heaven. The vast selection of baked goods was a bit overwhelming and they were busy when we arrived; the woman behind the counter seemed annoyed that we weren't sure what we wanted; that is my only complaint. Their prices are much less than another well-known bakery in this area and it didn't feel commercial like the other place. Pay them a visit; you won't be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love the square pizza at this location. The pastries are also very good. Nothing here that I donāt like. Why only 3 stars?ā¦. The woman behind the counter is very moody. Rude. I've seen her on good days and Iāve seen her on very bad days. She has way more bad than good day. Today, I sent my future daughter in law there to grab us some pizza to bring back home. She calls to pre order (recommended by the staff if ordering a whole sheet) and the woman that answered the phone, (Iām assuming the woman Iām referring to) was so rude that my daughter in law is horrified and is already hesitant to go there. Why??? Also, was told that she can buy a sheet at the per slice total which is odd as I always buy the sheet for less than buying at a per slice cost. Either way, not worried about the cost at them moment. Just very appalled at the way this woman treats customers. I wonāt say that I will not return, the pizza is that go, really? Canāt...
