I really hate to leave a negative review as they are new and I've had good experiences the first couple of visits. I ordered a Ground Beef bowl via DoorDash (big mistake). Upon taking a few bites, I noticed a piece of hair towards the middle/bottom of the bowl. I understand things happen but DoorDash was unhelpful so I tried calling the restaurant. There was a language barrier as the person who picked up the phone only spoke Spanish and hung up on me. Very unfortunate situation as I typically enjoy the food and service here.

Friendly and quick service. Restaurant is clean and has a large cute mural inside. All the food options are customized by you as part of the ordering process (similar to chipotle). Tasted great and intend to be back in the future - my partner is probably going to be a $5 burrito Monday regular. Nice to have a new reliable no-fuss option in the area. Looking forward to trying their margarita!

Edit: The $5 burrito (as they still call it in on the receipt for some reason) is now $5.49 burritos and they very sneakily changed the ad for its with a small ".49" on the sign. It's still a deal, but it was kind of unnecessary because it was their fault they couldn't make enough money off it. I'll pass now, mostly because of the misleading ad.

The PICASSO of local burrito joints. Love what they do. They have a great build your own menu of many meats, veggies, potatoes, guacamole (extra), and it's all fresh!

Love $5 burrito Mondays too!

The manager- not sure of his name - is very friendly and helpful too!

They will fill you up at a good cost!

I recommend their ground beef, hot salsa and potatoes!

Yes, I know this is more American style, so it might not be 100% authentic if thats what you want!

They also have good margs and drinks!

This is my new favorite...

Go for: Substantial portions, the carnitas, and the roasted jalapenos.

Avoid if: You are hoping it'll be exactly like Chipotle.

Something surprising: The place has a really nice outdoor back patio, but the tables and chairs are rarely set up, even in the summer.

Reservation needed? No, it's a fast-fresh restaurant.

Overall Experience: 4/5. The people are friendly, the food is quite good, and the portions are huge (including the choice of meat. It's hard to believe there aren't more places like this in East Boston. Get the potatoes instead of the rice on your burrito/tacos.

I love Mexican food, even the mediocre stuff from the big chains. So it's easy to win me over, but over 20 years ago, I visited Texas and ever since have been craving food like I had in several little restaurants there. I found it at Santa Fe! Absolutely incredible food! I can't believe I found such great Mexican food right here in New England! The staff was very nice, and the restaurant is clean with comfortable seating. The portions are generous and the pricing is very reasonable. I added ALL the goodies to our bowls, and even at that I spent $12 per person. Too bad I didn't take a photo of the beautifully painted walls. You'll just have to go...
