If you want this bubble tea, I would do so interacting with the staff as little as possible (i.e. use their remote terminal). Why? It's simple because they are not very good at "service." Imagine this:
You arrive at vivi's and seeing someone already at the terminal ordering, you decide that you'll just go up to the register to place your order. However, that's when problems occur. Firstly they can't seem to find the drink you want to order (a simple cold green tea with half sugar and no ice) but when they do finally find it they input the drink wrong (i.e. sugar and ice levels). They make your incorrect drink and when you realize that it is wrong and tell them of the issue...instead of them fixing it they tell you "sorry they cannot" because it has been sealed.
SEALED and THWARTED. Like the plastic seal on top of the cup requires the most special of tools to remove it. It's been so securely sealed that it would require a group of highly trained experts to safely break into this tea cup.
Honestly I was speechless. Only after insisting that I want them to change it, they did it (amazing! they found a way!) but not without a complementary glare like I've wronged them.
This is just odd behavior in my eyes, why? Simply put there are a dozen bubble tea shops in the area. Do we really need to patronize a shop that while might have good boba tea is so widely incompetent in problem solving? So I'm out. On a side note, their popcorn chicken is pretty good imo.
tldr; decent boba, good chicken,...
Read moreHip hip hooray for Vivi Bubble Tea in Brighton! This newly opened bubble tea space is shiny and awesome, with super cute decals all over their wall and counter, and excellent bubble teas and snacks to boot. My drinks came out very quickly -- less than a 3 minute wait -- and my crispy salt-pepper popcorn chicken was just a few minutes after that. The tea was excellent -- I got 30% sugar and no ice but they still filled the cup to the brim, bursting with great tea flavor and tangy peach flavor too. Definitely go for 30% sugar since any more than that would have been cloying. The aloe jelly was excellent as well, refreshing and the perfect texture.
The popcorn chicken was delectable -- perfectly crispy and flavorful on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. I only wish this place was a little closer to either my work or my home but huzzah for people who live and work...
Read moreI like Vivi. Their drinks are good and their cups are cute. Oh and the staff is nice. My boyfriend and I visited Vivi a little before COVID-19 shut everything down. We were the only 2 customers which was peculiar for a weekend night. We opted for one of their fruit teas and flaming brown sugar milk. The fruit tea was refreshing, sweet and filled with bits of fruit, jelly and aloe. I forgot to lower the sweetness so their regular sweetness level is definitely too sweet for my liking. The flaming brown sugar milk drink was cool - since we were the only ones there we asked if they could torch the drink in front of us and they obliged. I love how they brulee'd the top as it definitely makes for a cool drink. The milk was also not overwhelmingly sweet which was nice and the tapioca balls were also the perfect texture. I'm for sure a fan and would...
