I'm not sure if people in Bothell don't know what good Mexican food is or what but this is not the place. Myself and some co-workers went here for lunch, my recommendation based on the glowing reviews here. First off, it was a beautiful day and they wouldn't let us sit outside, but then seated other people out there almost immediately afterwards. Okay, not a big deal, but it got worse. I ordered the carne asada, which was OKAY, nothing to write home about as the other reviews would suggest. They then forgot my guacamole and the taco shells came out about 5 minutes after the food. How hard is it to time this properly? It just felt like we constantly had to ask for the most basic of service, and our server was neither fun or fantastic as other reviews would imply. One of my colleagues ordered huevos rancheros with egg so undercooked it was running CLEAR, seriously! I'm surprised he was able to finish the day without constant bathroom breaks of the explosive persuasion. He didn't say anything because he is too nice but if it were me I wouldn't have paid for it. Other colleague got a taco salad, which to no surprise was also lackluster. No evidence of thought or care could be seen on anyone's plate. I've had mexican food from all over the greater Seattle area and this place is definitely one of the worst, and definitely has the largest difference in review rating vs. actual experience I have ever encountered. Maybe we just got the half-ass lunch service, I don't know, but I'll never go back. Go to El Tapatio in Newcastle sometime, it will shame this place to...
Read moreBeen there once so far but had ordered it on uberEats once before. My partner and I loved the food and how much we got for the price the first time and it ended up being within walking distance from our new apartment. It was super small and no one was around when we went in aside from a small group eating dinner; solds there awkwardly for a little while, grabbed a drink from the fridge and someone came to seat us. Menus at Mexican restaurants always seem large and confusing to me so I ordered something due to recognizing part of the name :p The chips and salsa were a little plain but still tasty, our food came fast and the horchata was refill worthy. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his meal, it was two giant burritos, one was great, one red. And I loved my meal as well, most of the plate was rice and beans but on the top and bottom were delicious crispy little taquito things :p I dipped them in all my extras and enjoyed every last bit of it, aside from the lettuce that everyone puts under guac.. Took home my leftovers and ate them as soon as I had the munchies :3 The bathroom was very clean, as was the restaraunt. Our server was friendly and helpful, she was watching TV with some other guests (probably friends) but still checked in on us and was always willing to help. Going...
Read moreFood is unseasoned. The prices online are lower than the actual prices in the store. They nickel and dime for EVERYTHING. She charged me for a credit card fee, when I paid debit. She said any card. I told her that isn’t what it says online. It says “credit!” Which I get because some credit cards, like am ex, charge a fee. I told her to show me where it’s written “debit,,” and she pointed to a sign on the door that says “CREDIT.” Bad service. She refused to give the 3% fee back. Warned her that it looks shady because she could potentially be stealing/collecting hundreds of extra dollars a day by misleading people with the “credit” scam. If you charge for every card, even though VISA and MC DO NOT charge you, then go ahead and get your scam on. Place is not Covid friendly. It’s the size of a hotel bathroom. Bad service. I was talking to the lady and she literally started dialing on her personal cell phone. Your food isn’t good enough for your service to be this bad. Two thumbs down. Waste of money.
*Let’s see if you make the wording CHANGES about CREDIT vs all cards, and update your prices on your...
