My last visit -and I mean LAST visit- to this Starbucks has left me speechless. The guy who took my order: long blonde hair, open mouth gape, disinterested stare - and that was at his best, could not manage to reload my card or even understand what I was saying. I handed him a $20, held up my phone, and said, "I need to reload $10 on my card." He said, "What do you want to order?" I said, "I need to refill my card first." He said, "But you have to pay for it with this right? (holding up the 20) Cuz you don't have enough on your card," motioning to my phone. 10 minutes later, a line has formed behind me. Finally, a barista comes over and asks me -in her snottiest voice- "So what are you trying to order?" She says this with contempt, and an attitude that doesn't bother to hide her belief that the fact that he is incompetent and there's a line out the door is somehow my fault. I start to reply, but 2 customers behind me is a man who has clearly lost patience with Blondy; he retorts, "She just wants to reload her card, but he can't seem to GET THAT." The man then decides that he doesn't have the time or inclination to fight either of them, so he turns and leaves the store. I would have done the same, were it not for the fact that Blondy had a death grip on my $20 and I wasn't ready to go across the counter to retrieve it. If they hadn't buggered my order every single visit that I've been there, I might look back at the exchange and find it at least somewhat amusing. But they have and I'm not. Read moreAs a regular customer at this Starbucks location, I was extremely disappointed with the experience I had at the drive-through on May 2nd at around 10 am. When I arrived at the window, I was met with an unusually cold and unwelcoming attitude.
I had over 100 Stars in my account and intended to redeem them for a brewed hot coffee. However, the staff member insisted that I had no balance because there was no money on the card. I explained that Stars are earned through past purchases and should be usable regardless of the card balance, but she disagreed. To move forward, I added $10 to my app in hopes of using the Stars, but instead, she charged my card and did not apply the Stars.
Throughout this interaction, her tone was unfriendly and dismissive. I felt as though I was being treated like a freeloader, which was both hurtful and unwarranted. When I asked to speak with a manager, I calmly inquired whether this was how they typically speak to customers. To my shock, the manager replied, “Sometimes we do.”

Read moreI love the Starbucks in canyon park. The people that work there are really nice. As soon as I walk in the door they say hi to me and they always remember my name. It feels good to go somewhere where they treat me so well and are always so glad to see me. And there coffee drinks are always so good. And they have great breakfast sandwiches, fresh banana bread, and also fresh fruit. I just got the chicken and bacon panini. It's very good and it only took her a minute or two to get it warmed up and to get it to me. Update: I just went to Starbucks again. The manager remembered my favorite drink and the baristas had my drink ready right after I was done paying. They make me feel so welcome and so special because they always remember my name and my favorite coffee drink. And I don't even go there every day. I just go once per week. Anyway, my fave Starbucks coffee is frapachino. ANOTHER UPDATE: I am at Starbucks again. I am only having coffee today, no food, my usual coffee frapachino.
