Taco Time NW — Restaurant in Bothell

I never write reviews, but this experience left a sour taste in my mouth when we left. last night after a hike we stopped for food from Taco Time. we arrived in the drive-thru line at 7:10pm for a simple order of 3 crispy beef burritos and 2 mexi-fries. after over 20mins sitting in line waiting, we finally made it up to the pay-window. I never do this, but after sitting and waiting for food that long I thought I would try and ask if they could waive the price for 1 crispy burrito. the gal at the window seemed confused and said she had to ask - another gal came to the window (not the manager) and we asked politely the same question. her response was (as she motioned to the 2 cars in front of us, still waiting, and the 6-10 cars behind us) that if she gave us something for free she would have to give everyone else something free. to that response we decided that this was just not going to work to wait over 30mins for $17.99 worth of food. I then said thank you but I think we will go elsewhere. which then her response was that they don't offer refunds... my husband replied with we hadn't paid yet. we said thank you and drove out of line. this was a pretty poor experience and poor customer service of TT. I understand there can be hold-ups that happen due to kitchen, technology, etc... but we weren't asking for an entire free meal, we were simply asking if there was anything they could do for our time there waiting. we stopped for a Little Caesars hot n ready for $6.00 that took 5mins and...

Well I rarely give so few stars, but this place is not good at all.

I pulled into the drive through and was greeted by the person on the speaker with "what do you want"... I responded with "I'm sorry I didn't catch that" to which they said "to eat, what do you want to eat".

That by itself was not a big deal.

I ordered my nachos and tea then pulled around.

No one was in line ahead of me or behind me.

They asked me if I wanted any hot sauce, I said sure I'd take 5 or 6 packets.

Then I waited at the window for 11 minutes for my nachos.

I watched as the person who was helping me at the window was shoveling food in their mouth, chewing with their mouth open while pouring my ice tea... Right under their mouth while still chewing.

I got to watch the person making my food had gloves on at least, but I'm the middle of making my nachos they stopped and have another employee a big hug gloves touching all kinds of non food things. Then they picked their ear with the gloves on.

Finally my food was given to me.

I pulled right over and stopped so I could eat.

My chips were stale, very stale, there was no crunch to them at all. Yuk

Since this was my first visit I didn't realize their hot sauce was not little packets, they are the containers that are in my pic. Lol this again was not a big deal, still kind of weird though.

My recommendation is to not eat here. Ever. Go hungry before...

Dinner tonight was meh. I see why this store gets 2.9 stars. When we walked in, some girl, pretty sure a customer or a friend of someone working, was cleaning the dirty doors. She had a half shirt on and shouldn't have been wearing one. Her belly was hanging out. Very gross. Then the guy taking my order is wearing a black t-shirt and basketball shorts. .. We ordered a natual soft taco, a chicken burrito meal with Pico. Pico had zero flavor and bland tasted old, so I took it back and asked for medium salsa. Holy cow! Very vinegary and old. The taco and burrito was decent. I went to get a refill on my soda and had a small fly drop into my soda from the machine. There was alot of those small flies around the soda machine, salsa and ketchup stand, as well as the garbage can. I went to tell the basketball shorts wearing guy about the salsa and the drink and he replied " Yeah we get complaints about the pico and salsa alot." Then why are you serving it then???? He then asked if i would like another cup for a soda. No i would not. Go clean it! Quit dinking around behind the counter with your coworkers and do a job, any job. I didnt even ask for the manager because I knew what I would get told. Absolutely terrible. Definitely wont be back and will be telling everyone...
