I used to love this place, discovered it over a year ago with my friend. I then dragged my entire family, my boyfriend, his cousins and my roommates! I would drive from Everett to here because regardless of the countless other options I had closer to me, I loved the environment, the friendly staff, the inclusivity and affordability. And though i understand that during this time of Covid that prices need to increase so that staff are taken care of, what had soured my experience was the combative response to my asking about price, the additional charges for healthy options (like charhing for less sweetener, honey instead of sugar) and the lack of caring when it comes to loyalty. I never have a problem going out of my way to support a locally owned business - but when I start getting treated like a faceless consumer, I stop seeing a place as part of a community and instead realize its only after me for my money. I'm extremely disappointed in how my recent experiences have been, not just this last one but the last few visits they have been rude, messed up drinks by adding milk even though I explain I'm allergic every single time, argue about ingredients, price and orders and wont seem to fix when they do mess up an order. Its frustrating and discouraging. I know a business has to run, but I guess they can do so without me.
And to respond to the post below - I'm not sure how security footage would show a combative response when they lack audio - I never claimed I was attacked or assaulted. I also didnt expect a response, thank you for taking the time and proving my point.
I also wasn't aware that condensed milk wasnt dairy free, in the grocery store it says condensed milk has...
Read moreI am consistently wowed by the service levels here every time I come here. The perfect place to stop for a snack and a drink on a hot summer day. I have been coming here for years and the boba here is definitely a cut above the rest. Every time I come here, there are customers inside. Böba consistently delivers top tier products and services, and it's been a pleasure to see this local business grow its menu and customer base over the years.
October 2022 update:
Every time I come here I'm reminded why this is my favorite bubble tea shop in the area. The drinks are delicious, boba is perfect, and the staff are friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Today I ordered a strawberry matcha latte, and mentioned that I didn't want the larger size because it has a lot of milk. The employee let me know that I could use a milk substitute instead, in case there were any dietary restrictions. More often than not, the existence of milk substitutes on a menu is there as an afterthought, but Böba shows that they have them because they care about their customers, and will make recommendations based on the wants and needs of the customer. (The new reusable tumblers are also extremely adorable!!!)
May 2023 update:
Not sure there's too much more to say 😂 The staff is still friendly and helpful, the drinks are delicious. They do seem to change little things here or there, add food items, change/upgrade the decor, etc. Still a fantastic place that I stop at every time I'm...
Read moreI was slightly disappointed in this place. I guess nothing out of their fault, just something based off my personal experience of working in the restaurant/beverage industry for over 10 years.
I paid 28.61$ after tip for 3 drinks which I felt was a little pricey, but I understand inflation affects business owners, not just consumers. I literally walked out the front door and the cups are pretty flimsy, so mine fell out of my hands and cracked all over the sidewalk the road (I was parked right in front of the door). I was covered in smoothie and walked inside and asked if they just wanted me to dump my soaking cup in their main trash in the lobby or if they wanted to take it. The employee said "oh no. Yeah that's fine". I had literally JUST received the smoothie from her, so she knew I didn't get my moneys worth. And when she didn't offer to remake another drink, I didn't want to ask, so I just left disappointed. My lid was actually still fully sealed, I hadn't even opened it yet. Per my experience, employees should offer people a replacement in these instances, that's what I was always taught to do as a barista, bartender, server, and juice bar employee. I was a little taken aback when she didn't. I get it was my accident, but still. Someone didn't end up with a drink that I paid for, and I unfortunately won't return because of this.
The other two people said their drinks tasted...
