Went by yesterday afternoon around 4:30pm doughnuts didn’t look fresh the store looked messy, lots of crumbs and frosting splatter on glass and floor. As per usual the employees were on their phones not interacting with people as they enter having their own conversations behind the counter .
I have inquired to the only adult I ever see there (a male with glasses I believe his name was olvee) about the cleanliness and he always seems to brush it off…. Last I seen him a few weeks ago, I told him the store definitely missed him, he was at-least polite, where as the new young managers clearly have no idea how to handle a business they don’t clean or interact with people and the food and drinks have went down hill… not sure if this is an ingredient issue or improper training issue no one seems to know how to cook the rice dogs, the drinks have little to no flavor with the boba tasting under cooked and hard and the doughnuts have not been tasting fresh….. If they don’t clean the store glass where they display their doughnuts… it worries me about their frying oil :/ that no one sees. On a positive note …There is a couple younger employees I got doughnuts from last week (Friday around 7pm) a guy with a ponytail and gal with tattoos. They were both very polite and informative when I inquired about the purple doughnut and what flavor ube was. I have seen them for a few months and never had any issues, it usually seems to be the newer employees don’t have training and seem to think they don’t need to interact with customers or be friendly . Again maybe this is a higher up issue with ingredients and maybe with all the employee turn over (there is maybe 3-4 of the same employees that have stayed more than a couple months) . I’m all about empowering the youth and giving them opportunities but I don’t know that I would risk my business on it, many of the issues have simple solutions but there never seems to be a manager or supervisor on site for each shift… that alone would make sure policies are followed so quality is the same all day. I come to this location often usually 1-3 times a week as I live 5 mins away and work in the same parking lot so it’s definitely a Convenience when I need a sweet treat or snack. Ive seen and heard a lot and figured I would give my two sense as a patron who visits often and different times of the day and week so I have different perspectives. Over the past 8 months I have gotten to know quite a few of them and just want this feedback to help fix...
Read moreDon’t bother coming to this location. I walked in to a group of folks just standing and chatting behind the counter. There were no customers there. No one greeted me and they continued on with their explicit conversations, multiple curse words and gossip said aloud with no regard to customers. I placed my order at 2:56pm (got the text confirmation) and waited for around 15 minutes, which was a bit long for 2 corn dogs and being the only customer. I heard a few people say while making my corn dog “why does it look like that? It’s not supposed to look like that”
A gentleman came to me and told me my corn dogs looked deformed. He asked if I was okay with that but did not offer to remake or find a solution. I assumed there would be no change and I wanted to get out of there at this point.
The group of employees gathered around the fryers and I heard a few women say the batter looks watery. “Did you make this today?” One of the men replied and said “no this is from yesterday”
This was not comforting to hear as a customer. How old is this batter? Do you regularly sell old batter to customers and don’t offer to fix the problem?
After waiting awhile, I saw the group of people go to the back with my corn dogs. No updates given to me and no one in sight in the kitchen. Why did it take 4+ people to wrap the corn dogs?
I was hoping to do an online review and post photos/ videos but these are the worst looking corn dogs I’ve ever had. Not to mention what a bad experience. Disappointed in Mochinut. I won’t be coming back here.
To make matters worse, I tried to call the store a few times to voice my concerns and the calls went straight to voicemail. Is this how you manage your store?
I’ve always loved Mochinut and held them to a higher standard but will now look elsewhere. I don’t recommend this location and have spread the word to avoid the...
Read moreResponse to Mochinut Bothell's Response to my Review: I never asked anyone to put my room temperature water in the freezer. Your menu offers cold or room temperature water. I selected cold and was given a room temp water. I simply asked if they had any cold water and your employee offered to put it in the freezer which I found ridiculous so I kindly declined the offer. You are blatantly lying. Also, if you think your establishment was clean, your idea of clean is not restaurant or food establishment worthy. Mochinut Bothell is the dirtiest food establishment I've ever seen. I've uploaded photos to show how dirty you keep your establishment. I gave an honest review and your lies are appalling. I did not exaggerate this negative experience. The proof is in the photos.
Original review: This location is extremely dirty. They have not swept or mopped the floors in a long time. The glass on the counter is filthy and cloudy. There was debris all over the counter and it looks like it hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. There appeared to be old liquid dried on the machine where they put the lids on drinks. There is a white curtain between the front and back of house that is black where people would touch it going through. The mochinuts from this location were greasy and the texture was ruff, not like other locations. There looked to be mochinut batter all over the mixer stand and fryer area. I personally will never go back to this location because it was so dirty. If you've never been there and are ordering online, you need to stop by and see for yourself how dirty this place is. You can tell no one who works there cares about presenting a clean and welcoming environment or a good product. I would never get ice-cream from them. If they are not cleaning floors and counters, they aren't cleaning...
