I went to Wendy’s late at night because I hadn’t been feeling well all day, and I was hoping for a simple, decent experience. Unfortunately, the person working the counter at 12:14am —an adult male—was extremely rude and honestly shouldn’t be working in customer service.
When my husband began placing our order, instead of politely asking if there was anything else we’d like (as is usually the case), the employee cut him off with a snarky comment along the lines of, “It would be great if the whole order was said at once.” I stepped in to explain that my husband was ordering—he had just finished saying the first meal and was in the middle of adding a second item when he was interrupted. This was not the only time as he did that when we were ordering the first meal.
At that point, all I asked for was mutual respect, but the employee didn’t respond at all. It made the rest of the interaction awkward but who I am kidding the whole interaction was socially awkward . we weren’t even sure if he had heard the final item correctly, since it didn’t show up on the screen.
Also, when we first pulled up, the speaker was already talking before we had fully stopped the car, and once we reached the mic, the employee suddenly snapped, “Hello, yes, what can I get for you?” We had to explain we hadn’t heard the prompt clearly because we weren’t close enough yet and my husband apologized.
The whole experience was unnecessarily unpleasant and rushed. It honestly made me lose my appetite. I hope management can address this because that kind of treatment is not okay.
Clearly I see other review on this too. So Michael this is towards you.(based on what the teller said on the receipt ) Don’t ever think it’s okay to treat people rudely especially my husband. Your remarks are very rude and I didn’t even explain it all. But I think it is Omar based on other reviews describing the...
Read moreThe quality of the food was great, fries crispy and all that. The store also looked clean, no visible kitchen grime anywhere. Important to give credit where credit is due.
That aside, when picking up a doordash delivery earlier in the day, I witnessed one of the staff dropping a closed bag of fries on the floor, no biggie. However they then set that bag directly on the fries counter. The woman at the fries station then grabbed the bag and put it in the freezer below. Meaning the floor grime with all of their shoes was now on the counter, and the fry-station lady's gloves. No one stopped to wipe the counter down or change gloves.
When I did come back to order some food for myself in between dashes, I asked for my biggie bag (I doordash for a living, I have to get the cheap options) to go. She first brought it out for dine in, honest mistake, but then put it all in a bag without much care. A third of my fries fell out. Now, I respect that she didn't grab my fries with her hand and put them in my bag, but she didn't also try and tip the tray into the bag or get me some extra fries, I'm just out that food because she mixed up my order.
Again, place looked clean and food tastes great. The people also are very nice, they notice you and ask you to wait if they're busy, they are very friendly while giving you your order. I did not complain in person because it's not my job to educate staff on hygiene, and because I've fought that losing battle where you're trying to do the right thing and the entire kitchen is staring at you like you're a freak, so I keep silent and move on. Seeing stuff be dropped and ignored just bothers me enough personally that I felt it important to let...
Read more-Spend Money Elsewhere-
After sitting in the drive through and placing my rather easy order, I drove up to the window and paid for my food. No hello, no thank you. The gentleman (Christopher) handed me my food, to which i then asked "is everything here?". No reply, he just walked away. So I drove home, just to realize that half my order (which is on the receipt/ paid for) isnt in the bags. I drive all the way back, and pursue to wait in the drive through line. When its my turn i let the guy know that most of my order wasn't in the bags, his reply "bring the reciept to the window". No apology, nothing. Not that i expect somebody to bend-over backwards, but at least own up to it. I get to the window and explain what was missing, and hand him the burger and fries that WAS remembered as I want warm food for when i get home (15minutes each way). He says "well whats wrong with this?" I reply "nothing, I just want warm food since ive had to leave and come all the way back". He walks away, a brief moment passes and a lady approaches and starts handing the food out of the window (no acknowledgement) of the revised order. She walks away and Christopher closes the window without having said a single thing about the mistake. No thank you or goodbye. Mind you I am very courteous and respectful when speaking to anyone.
I dont expect five star service from fast food chains, but i expect to recieve what I pay for. A simple apology wouldve made this review...
