I am here roughly once per month as we have a satellite office nearby, and until recently this shop was the only nearby coffee in N Boulder. Every time I visit, I rationalize away the rude service, snooty clientele, and outrageous prices - but no longer! Revolution! So here's my rant, based upon consistent experience with this place. The service is consistently rude and pretentious, it is clear that this shop's culture is toxic and somehow leads the employees to think that you, the customer, are being done a tremendous favour by being allowed to patronise this establishment. The prices are all at least $1 above market in any other coffee shop, which is ironic (or absurd) considering that the espresso shots are consistently pulled incorrectly and the drinks often come out bitter, almost burnt. My last couple lattes here were barely digestible. (The standard black coffee is not too bad, however.) Finally, the clientele...this of course is not in the shop's control, but the culture does seem to attract a level of smug and snootiness that I'd rather just steer clear from. Thus, dear reader, my advice to you:...
Read moreI've been going here consistently for months. Some of the staff is okay but Bridget and others are terrible. They are condescending and rude. They charge a dollar for refills while Starbucks is FREE. I am NEVER going back there. Hayley is wonderful and always tip her. Btw. Bridget confronted me about not paying for the refill she poured and then proceeded to yell in front of everyone that I don't tip her and that I had been there for hours. Go anywhere else. Mediocre at best and overall terrible staff. I told a man, "f--- you," AFTER the treatment from the employees. As they pointed out, he is a regular. THAT IS THE ONLY THING IMPORTANT TO THEM. It's the regulars (of which I was one) that are big tippers that matter to them and no one else. Notice they could not refute what I said regarding the employee. I was already packed to leave when they told me to leave. Why would I...

Fine… I am handed my Cortado in a glass cup. I asked for it to go. I tell the man who made it, that’s to go and that it’s beautiful, and he turns around without saying a word and so I repeat it’s to go, because I assumed he didn’t hear me, and he grabbed a to go cup very rudely, emptied my coffee in there and pushed it towards me. Didn’t say a word. Go to get simple syrup that is at every coffee shop known to man, none. Go to get some sugar, it is all hard crusted and won’t come out. On a Sunday morning at 9am if you’re that pressed already, bald man working the coffee machine… idk. This was my first time here. Never...
