ive seen some people say this is the most authentic and best mexican food in town, my advice to them would be to leave town. Boulder isnt known for Mexican food, and it is rightfully so. the entitled community of boulder has forced Wapos to the outskirts of north boulder and it makes sense. The entitled people dont want Wapos ruining the reputation of half decent food in boulder. This place is abysmal and so far ive just been thinking about the food. i never got a water refill all meal, sat there for 2 hours and was left sipping out of the bottom of my glass for liquid relief. We also sat in the half indoor half outdoor area, the heaters in this section were broken and the plastic walling was torn, and sticky. Wind howled through the ripped plastic curtain making my ears and my tacos as cold as ice. I only wish i knew id be sitting outside practically before i went to the restaurant.
Just an FYI to boulder folks, denver has restaurants with walls and flavor. Dont sacrifice your stomach and your sanity to try mexican food in boulder.
Goodluck and may you always have tums and...
Read moreI wish I had as good of an experience as everyone else seems to have had. We had such a terrible time we actually had to just get up and leave.
I would chalk this up to awful service, but there were a few other issues too. After we were sat, it took 10 minutes for someone to come over, get us water and drop off some chips. We said that we needed one more minute to look at the menu. Another 25 minutes went by before anyone came back, and we were finally able to order and get a water refill. We asked for more chips twice, but those never came. We were finally able to order 40 minutes after being there, waited a half hour for our food, and when nothing came and we couldn't find anyone to talk to, we ended up leaving.
On top of that, we sat outside (a covered patio), which would've been nice, except for the giant spiderwebs and actual spider directly next to our table. The fans overhead were also covered in a thick layer of dust.
I really wanted to like this place based on the great reviews, but I don't think we'll...
Read moreLet me start by saying this places food was really good we both enjoyed it and honestly would come again. The pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful Food was very good flavors were good if just a little over spiced on chicken and beef on the fajitas Plenty of parking and a very unique building Margaritas are awesome A+ in this department The Cons: Inside the building the fly problem was pretty bad. Had to move outside because of this. There is no AC in main portion of building so it was pretty hot (not an issue for, us but should be mentioned) The window seal by where we originally sat was very dirty it had dead bugs and caked on dust. Which after looking around could be said about a lot of areas in the facility.
Again we loved the food and if were ever back in area can look past the cons listed above, but thought it would be best to give people a heads up what there in for if they go to...
