Amante Coffee — Restaurant in Boulder

I went in for a latte, and found an oasis. For context, here's what happened:

Moments before discovering Amante, I had dinner at a taco place where people were shouting across the table because no one could hear each other over Snoop Dogg mixed with the alpha-male sports programming on TV. (That kind of environment is just waaaaay too much for me.)

Stepping into Amante, I immediately felt better. My latte was prepared by a stylish barista wearing a vest and necktie, quiet patrons kept to themselves, non-invasive music played in the background, and there was a classic black and white film on TV (provided for visuals, no volume). I used to love going here, but I’m not sure what happened to the customer service. The two girls working were so rude and ignored me and my friend while trying to order. We stood there for about a good 5-7 minutes just trying to buy prepackage items and we didn’t even get a greeting or “I’ll be with you in a second”. I found that super rude and disrespectful considering they walked by us multiple times. We got tired of waiting and just walked out, no use of standing there looking dumb when there’s so many other places you can go nearby. Don’t waste...

Just went here and ordered espresso machiato. 5 minutes later some guy came in and put in a big order. The girl forgot my drink so I asked her about it. She said, "I have a big order so it'll be a few more minutes." I said, just give me the espresso then (which takes 23 seconds). She wouldn't do it.

Then the drinks she was making for the large order behind me were coming out wrong and she was arguing about them when he was reading right off the receipt. .
