T/aco — Restaurant in Boulder

I have one single complaint about this place, but before I get to that let me establish that the drinks are great, the food is good, and the service was lovely. Here's my complaint and this is a first for me... I ordered the queso (regular) and the salsa trio which were $7.75 and $3.25 respectively. Again, both were wonderful. However, at the end of the meal I looked at the bill and I noticed they had charged me $5.50 for two orders of chips. I pointed this out to our server saying that this must have been a mistake to charge me for the chips. She proceeded to tell me that no, that's how they do it and that the chips are not actually included when you order the salsa trio or queso. I tried to get clarification by asking if I ordered queso would they actually expect me to just eat it with a spoon or something if I did not separately order chip to which she replied "uhh, yeah I guess". Again, it was not her fault (she was great at serving), but it just seems really off putting to me that they would sell me both the salsa trio and queso and NOT include the chips. Don't be weird. Me and my boyfriend came to have dinner here a couple of months ago. We went on a really busy night and they looked slammed. The hostess ushered us to a table where we waited for a good 30 minutes before anyone noticed us. Now this sounds bad but it gets better I promise. A nice male waiter came over to us to get our drink and food order, he proceeded to explain to us that no one was assigned to our table and that there was some miscommunication. Once we got our drinks the manager came over to give us a complimentary shot and chip dish as another apology. The food came out swiftly and it was absolutely delicious. As we were leaving we thanked the waiter and went outside to head towards our car. Moments later the waiter and the manger came running after us to give us a drink coupon for the wait. This unnecessary kindness resonated strong with us. It was an unfortunate situation that was no ones fault. The restaurant handled it very politely and professionally. We will definitely be returning to this lovely place to have some more tasty food and we highly...

I had an incredibly disturbing experience at this restaurant on Tuesday that left my family feeling unsafe and completely shocked. As my two young children (ages 2 and 4) and I were walking into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted by a loud argument taking place right in the small vestibule. The GM of the restaurant was aggressively yelling profanities at a patron, and we had to quickly move back outside to avoid getting caught in the middle of it.

The scene escalated as the GM, who was far more aggressive than the patron, actually shoved the customer. At no point did the patron touch or curse at the GM, but the GM’s behavior was way out of control. It was terrifying to witness such hostility, especially with my children right there. We didn’t feel safe staying and decided to leave immediately.

I can’t speak to the food or service, but based on this experience, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially families. The behavior we witnessed was unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. We won’t...
