It is BEYOND painful for me to write a bad review of sweetgreen. I take no pleasure in this. I am an OG SG fan. I was one of the top customers at their first location in DC. I was part of their secret shopper program. I was invited to exclusive events. They sent me free merch. We had such a good thing going.
I missed sweetgreen SO much when I moved to Boulder and I was SO excited for them to open here I actually might’ve cried with joy.
This location is a massive disappointment. I’ve given them so many tries because I just can’t cope with the idea of sweetgreen being anything less than amazing. I primarily do delivery or take out ordering online. Every single time there’s at least one thing wrong. They forget the bread. The one time they included the bread it was so stale I used it as dog treats. The portion of broccoli they give me is ALL stalks EVERY time. They fill the dressing cups maybe 1/4 full at best so 2 cups is generally barely enough (and I don’t even like heavy dressing). This time, all my chicken was in one huge chunk — not cut at all like it’s supposed to be.
Sweetgreen is so much better than this location lets on. I love this brand so much and would rather see this store close than continue to drag the SG name through the...
Read moreALMOST excellent. Great vegan options, although the menu unfortunately doesn't specify which bowls and dressings are vegan (especially unfortunate for the "caesar" salads) - you have to look at a document via the website. I visited twice and ordered the shroomami both times. I ordered it unmodified first, and changed it the second time (deleted raw beets and orange-ginger dressing, added spicy broccoli and chimichurri vinaigrette dressing). The first bowl was wonderful, with a nice spiciness that lasted until the last bite of kale (I think they sprinkled some extra spicy powder? not sure). The second bowl wasn't as good - the kale was a bit pale, and I didn't get a single floret of broccoli - every piece was from a stem/stalk. But overall I'd still call it very good and I love the wholesomeness of it.
The ordering app is easy to use, and it's easy to make substitutions. It would be better if the menu didn't put chicken on nearly everything - you can delete chicken and tofu etc but having the meat there by default makes it hard to scroll through the options. Starting without a meat, and identifying vegan or veg, would be ideal. Anyway, I'll be back when I'm visiting again and want...
Read moreI order from here quite a bit and honestly its "ok" about half the time. The other half, they either forget something in the salad (typically meat or the dressing) or they misplace an order. I usually only realize this after the long walk back to my office and have learned to fully check my order before I leave. The employees are typically rude and curt. Even when they make a blatant mistake. After looking at many of the lower star reviews it seems the owner answers with the same generic response. So I will save them the trouble and post below...
