I'm happy to say that I had a great experience at Postinos! The restaurant is a great spot for those looking for a fresh meal and amazing wine selection.
The restaurant is located in the heart of Boulder, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The decor is rustic and charming, with wooden tables and chairs. The lighting is dim, creating a romantic and intimate ambiance perfect for a date night or a night out with friends.
The menu at Postinos is impressive, with a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes and dietary restrictions. The menu is divided into sections, including antipasti, bruschetta, salads, paninis, and entrees. The antipasti section features a variety of small plates, including olives, marinated artichokes, and roasted peppers. The bruschetta section is one of the highlights of the menu, with a variety of toppings including burrata and prosciutto, smoked salmon, and fig and goat cheese. The salads are fresh and flavorful, with options like the classic Caesar and the beet and goat cheese salad. The paninis are hearty and delicious, with options like the prosciutto and brie.
One of the standout features of Postinos is their wine selection. The restaurant has an extensive wine list, with options from all over the world. The Pinot Grigio is a particular standout, with a crisp and refreshing taste that pairs perfectly with the fresh and flavorful dishes on the menu. The wine is served at the perfect temperature, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to selecting the perfect wine to pair with your meal.
The service at Postinos is also exceptional. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they go out of their way to make sure that your dining experience is enjoyable. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and they are happy to make recommendations based on your preferences. The restaurant is busy, but the staff manages to keep up with the demand, ensuring that your food and drinks arrive in a timely manner.
Overall, I highly recommend Postinos to anyone looking for a fresh meal and amazing wine selection. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with rustic decor and dim lighting that creates a romantic and intimate ambiance. The menu is impressive, with a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes and dietary...
Read moreI really tried to give the management a chance to handle some very negative feedback in a private setting, but they never responded to the following email I sent them 3 days ago, so I feel that at this point other customers should be made aware.
"Hello, I'd like to bring to your attention the discriminating episode that happened tonight at your Boulder restaurant. At around 4:45 pm, I came in asking if a table for a party of 8 people was available. The host went to talk to the manager, and then returned saying the restaurant was full for the night. Literally five minutes later, another person in our party entered the restaurant with the exact same request, and she was given a table right away. Now, I decided to avoid asking the host about this discrepancy while the restaurant not to ruin the atmosphere of what was an important, work-related celebrative dinner. That being said, I really doubt that the reason for this different treatment is that in that 5-minute span a party of 8 people cancelled their reservation and so you magically happened to have a table available when my friend/colleague asked for a table. Instead, I really have to think that the different answers we received are due to a different perception your team has of the people who enter your restaurant. I have an accent and I am (visibly) gay, and I was told the restaurant was full. Instead, you immediately found a table to an older American woman. This is absolutely awful. I have been a fan of Postino and have been visiting your Denver locations so frequently, but this is simply unacceptable. I expect a serious response to this email and hope you can better train your employees in the future. And please be glad I am sending this feedback using a private form instead of writing a public review. You lost my business and...
Read morePostino’s menu strikes a nice balance. Casual but clearly curated with some thought. On my first visit, the kitchen delivered well. I had an appetizer, the bruschetta, and a charcuterie board. Everything showed up fresh and on time. Flavors were good, portions reasonable, though nothing was especially memorable. It was the kind of meal that’s satisfying but familiar, something you could certainly pull off at home. The service started out strong. Our server walked us through the menu and checked in after the food arrived. But as the meal went on, they became harder to flag down. At one point, there was a long gap, and when they did come back, they asked if we were “just hanging out.” It felt a little awkward as our drinks needed to be refilled, and we were clearly still eating. I said we were finishing, but the question seemed oddly timed. We didn't see them for another long gap.
There were also some flies buzzing around during the meal. I mentioned it and got an apology, but nothing more. The layout didn’t help either. The tables toward the far end of the space are packed pretty close together, and between the music and the neighboring conversations, it was pretty loud. At one point, the server bumped into our bruschetta board while helping the table next to us. Not a big deal, but it wasn’t acknowledged either, and it just made the tight spacing more noticeable. The serving boards also take up a lot of room on already small tables, which adds to that slightly cramped feeling. Overall, the food was alright, and the space has potential, but the combination of inattentive service and a somewhat cramped, noisy atmosphere made the experience feel underwhelming. It's not a place I'd rush back to. The space had its charm, but the overall experience didn’t...
