This is my partner and my favorite casual spot to get drinks in Boulder. Mainly because it’s attached to the Boulderado which is where we stay on date nights, but we’ve gone other times too. We’ve been going for 3 years now several times a year and the food and drinks are always on point and it’s one of my favorite patios in Boulder. The service just always seems off every time. Whether they’re understaffed or what, regardless of how busy it is, it’s always slow. The waiters are always friendly, but my partner says his favorite part is the grumpy hostesses. 😂 But the service doesn’t even matter at this point because the food is always on point. I may be addicted to their truffle fries. 😅

Monday night early winter happy hour, the lower level of the restaurant was packed. Service is good, friendly, and pretty efficient. The happy hour menu has glasses of wine about $6-8 as well as other drinks. The shared dishes are pretty big for the price - like six big meatballs on a bed of polenta for $10 (decent), crispy brussels sprouts (not crispy but well-cooked and delicious), calamari (decent) and firecracker wings (great taste and portion size for $9). It's noisy but you can still have a conversation. A good deal and very pleasant atmosphere with food that did not come frozen off the back of a truck and thrown into a fryer. Give it a try!

I guess I should have read some of the more recent reviews for The Corner Bar before eating there. Aside from general inattentiveness from our servers, and the unwashed beats that literally had sand in them, a few mistakes were made. The appetizer we ordered was completely forgotten, but the waiter graciously offered to take it off of our bill. Then they brought out the wrong entree for my date, so we both got to eat my entree while waiting for her's. Both of these could have been honest mistakes, but it does makes for a lackluster dining experience. The waiter had his final opportunity to improve our experience when he brought us the bill, but unfortunately he charged us full price.

I asked to speak with a manager, who listened to my complaints. He had a final chance to partially salvage the evening in some meanful way, but instead offered us a discount that amounted to less than the price of a single entree. Needless to say, I was unimpressed. I suspect the complete lack of hospitality is likely the result of terrible management. I cannot recommend anyone eat here under any circumstance, and since management seems to be the problem, I would advise folks to avoid the adjacent restaurant, Spruce Farm & Fish, as well as the hotel the restaurants occupy, Hotel Boulderado, which is why I've included this review on...

I'm not typically one to leave a negative review, but I figured I should say a few things. We called for a pick up figuring it was going to be busy over the weekend, and sat on the phone listening to the prompts 4 different times. Nobody answered. We decided to pull up and order, didn't seem so busy after all. We attempted to order the nachos and two $7 house salads. They told us it would be 15 minutes. We came back after a bit, and the host let us know that they actually don't serve the nachos anymore. A slight inconvenience for us, so we ordered something else instead. This time, the steak and fries w side salad, and 2 full house salads. They told us another 15 (you would think they would take your number to let you know it's ready, or for any complications). After 15, we got in the car and drove back to our place. We should've looked in the bag before heading home so this was our fault a bit, but to our surprise, we're missing two full salads. We call, nobody answers again. My boyfriend ended up going back up there for the food we bought because it was a bit pricey and for what it was worth, the steak and fries were ridiculously salty. Steak wasn't too bad, but the fries were awful. A lacking experience to...

Thanksgiving lunch with the kid. Not my first time, most likely not my last. Wasn't overly busy as we were some of the first to arrive at 11. Service was polite but also mediocre. Servers not overly attentive and seemed "all over the place." It was almost like a new restaurant that they were trying to get figured out, it was a very chaotic atmosphere. I ordered the Bison meat loaf with mashed potatoes and green beans, and my kid ordered the prime rib sandwich and fries. The food was ok,....my kid liked his sandwich he said. My food would have been pretty good if it was hot, or even warm, but it was neither. It was cold, a couple of the green beans under the meatloaf were at least lukewarm so that was nice. It looked like maybe a cook decided to bring our food out, it definitely wasn't our server, I don't know if they were backed up, short staffed or what was going on, again when we got there the place wasn't busy at all. If I had to guess, my food must've been sitting out at least 15 minutes for it to be that cold before it got to me. I would've complained or asked them to microwave it,....but with all the chaos I just ate it, paid and left. Total bill about $75 with tip. I feel like I paid $50...
