I come here often. When it's busy you can usually expect good fresh food. This time however was a much darker experience.
The night is Halloween, and as I approach the darkly lit Wendy's at approximately 10:30pm, I begin to wonder if the place is even open. But then I remember the catchphrase, Open til 1am.
I see a truck in front of me sitting next to a dark menu board, and look down to surprisingly see an order on the microphone box in front of him. So naturally I pull behind him, unaware of the nightmare in horrible customer service from the owner of this franchise location himself, not to mention the twice fried fries.
I ordered two JBCs, two small frosties, and two small fries. I. He tells me he will have my total at the window so I pull forward and he tells me $11.82 and my jaw dropped, I told him I wanted the value menu stuff and since the menu board was dark that I couldn't see my options. He changed the order to value fries but decided not to ask if I wanted the value frosted as well so my order total dropped to $10.89.
If I was in his position I would have said, why don't you get the 4 for 4 deal, because then I would have gotten my JBC, my fries, a drink AND chicken nuggets and still ordered a frosty for the SAME PRICE as I paid for half of the goods.
When I got to the window and handed him my card, he handed me my food. I asked him for a receipt and he said it was in the bag, so I looked and realized that was a lie. I asked him for a copy of my receipt and he said sorry our system is down right now. The franchise owner is standing there beside the order taker sweating bullets, I told him I would like my receipt and he proceeded to say I got my food that should be good enough.
This is when I told him it is my right as a consumer to have a receipt of purchase. He said, "Well I don't know what you want me to do about it."
I responded to him by saying that many places offer your order for free if the receipt is not automatically given to the consumer. He said alright I will give you a free combo meal, I told him he would need to take my information and I would collect my meal another time. He looked at me like I was stupid, so I said, "don't you want to write my information down?"
He asked my name, but didn't write anything down. Instead he proceeded to say how Joshua is a biblical name and was a great man in the bible so he won't forget me. After waiting in the drive thru for approximately 10 minutes his system finally comes back up and he hands me my receipt, and says "Thank you Jesus!"
First off, going off about my name being biblical and using Jesus as some sort of a determining factor in all this was a bit offensive, not to mention no where near proper as a business. If he would have just taken my name down or offered the 4 for 4 deal even, I would not be writing this review. However this Halloween night was a bad...
Read moreI use to come here everyday for lunch a year ago when i worked in boulder, I now work in boulder again and have come here a couple times and no matter if theyre busy or completely dead the French fries are always soggy and flimsy, all they have to do is let them cook just a tad bit longer. On top of that we ordered 2 chicken go wraps and they didnt even attempt to wrap it for us and when my girl friend went to rewrap it there was a huge line of ranch going across the wrap and the chicken strip was laying in the middle instead of laying so the ranch ran along the hole wrap so nowbwe know why there wa sjust a giant clump of ranch in the first wrap she ate. I also ordered a bacon chicken sandwich that comes with tomato lettuce and mayo, i asked for it plain with only bacon and ketchup and to add mustard. I got a plain chicken sandwich with only mayo on both sides of the patty soaking the bun.... No bacon no lettuce no tomato not even ketchup just 2 mayo soaked buns and soggy chicken patty. Also i lnow i mentioned the fries but its literally everytime ive come here the past 2 months ive been working in boulder again so I dont know if they got all new employies or what but guys you use to be so good now everything kinda stinks, again it takes only a couple more seconds to not make the fries soggy and takes only a couple seconds to make sure a sanwhich is done right and not...
Read moreI just ordered from the drive thru today and they got my order wrong. Normally I check my order before I pull away, but there was someone behind me and I had to get back to work. Not only did they get my order wrong, but the sandwich that they gave me had obviously been sitting for some time because the burger was very dried out and cold. To make matters worse, there should have been 2 all beef patties on my sandwich and they only gave me one. So I had to go back to work only to find that I paid more money for what I got and I'm still hungry because my order was wrong.
These kids nowadays want $15/hr to work in a fast food restaurant, but can't do something as simple as counting beef patties to put on a burger. Nowadays they spend more time on their phones than working. This country has taken a turn for the worse. I myself worked in the service industry for McDonalds as a youth, and I started out at $4.25/hr, which I gladly accepted because it felt rewarding, knowing that I worked hard for it. Kids nowadays are wired wrong, they expect things to be handed to them without actually earning it. Anyway, I digress, but I won't be eating at Wendy's again. If the future of this country is in the hands of generation Y and Z, then God...
