This place is beyond greedy. Earlier this year, they had this signage posted at checkout. Basically, they felt that it made sense to charge a 15% "service fee" on top of the order subtotal. What this "service" is I'm not sure. You read from a menu standing up and place your order and wait for someone to bring it to the counter. Due to this fee, they felt the need to mention tips are not expected.
The funny part is, as of October 2023 they have gotten rid of the signage but have NOT gotten rid of the service fees. An $11.50 smoothie works out to $13.25 with their fees, and $14.50 with boulder sales tax😂 $15 for a smoothie is absurd not even pulp fiction could have predicted that. But as if $15 isn't enough, the employees turn the iPad around and prompt customers to tip 20%, 22%, or 25% on their $15 smoothie (service charge included) hahahahahah!!! The last time I was here, the employee also verbally informed me of the service charge in addition to the sign. This time they did not make ANY mention of it.
It seems clearly they have abandoned their idea of reserving tips for only the most generous, and now they are trying to make customers feel a little more guilty if they smash the no tip button.
Wonder owner: why would you get rid of this sign and keep the service charge? Why would your tip options START at 20%? Why is an 8 or 12oz smoothie $15? Why is there a 15% service charge not included...
Read moreFirst time entering this establishment with high expectations. I've heard good things. What's not to be excited about.
Walking in, it's nice yeah whatever. Then you get to the menu, prices are high high. 1 size for smoothies and they're all over $12. Well for the price I suppose they'll be great.
I order the blue one, sounds fruity refreshing and perfect. Well after handing over nearly $30 for 2 smoothies we recieve them.
Now for the taste test, first few sips are interesting and that's the best word for them. Not really fruity, not really sweet. I am questioning how they decided this should be on the menu.
Every sip gets progressively worse, more and more mouth puckering, more and more my stomach starts to rumble, I begin to feel stagnant.
We're driving at this point and about every 3ft I am getting shaken to pieces because Boulder and all of Colorado has some of the worst kept roads I've ever witnessed. I'm pretty sure my truck needs a new front end after this week long trip. So pothole after pothole, this "smoothie" creates a sensation of a dirt flavored tsunami slapping the side of my stomach wall, putting my body in distress. I didn't finish half of it before throwing it away. I digress
Moral of the story, next time I'm needing refreshed in Boulder Colorado, I'll be licking the puddles in every pothole I can find before I step another foot in this...
Read moreThis continues to be my most favorite place of all time. The nutmilks are absolutely delicious and so healthy. The customer service is beyond amazing and they treat me like I am important. They know my name when I come in which really means a lot. Every single employee there is top notch and understands the value of a customer. It's a great locale, eclectic, fun, innovative, hip and a great place to go to be happy in these times. I wish I could give this 20 stars! i recommend this great place 100 times over!!! I feel so lucky to have such a place in my town. I cannot write another review because site won't let me but I was just in this afternoon and Nick is just phenomenal. So focused on the clients that come here. I feel I must do something to thank this business and think the next time in I will donate a bit of money to the business. It's like the one thing I can do to thank you all. I hope the owners know what a great manager Nick is and also a kudos to Haley for being one of the best employees. When I mean this place is the best ever, I can only tell you to go here and get some of the most healthiest...
