Main Dynasty — Restaurant in Bourbonnais

My boyfriend suggested this spot, which I had high hopes. I was very disappointed with this trip. We ordered four items the crab Rangoon, donuts, chicken lo mein, and magnolian beef. The order we got had very little chicken, it was mainly noodles. The magnolian beef was majority onions. I called they could do for me is next time I have to ask for double meat. I asked what portion/ ounces each scoop is, and all they said either a small or large. He could answer my question on that. I told them that we’ve been here before and had normal portion sizes with the meat. The excuse give was “we have a cook that isn’t here on Monday, so you got a different cook”. The food wasn't horrible, but it wasn't really very good either. A couple of items were decent.. Happy Family was good, the eggrolls were good. The restaurant is carry out only and the entire operation is a MESS. I've maybe never seen such a dirty, filthy, uncleaned food service establishment. Ceilings and a/c vents are caked with dust, the kitchen area is dark, dirty, greasy. The lighting in the work areas is horrible and I don't know how the employees can even see what they are cooking. Apparently Bourbonnais does not have any type of active food safety inspector or this place would be fined, written up, and likely shut down until they got their place cleaned up. WHY don’t I listen to the bad reviews when there’s so many that are in regard to very basic things. I love crab rangoon but rarely eat it because it’s 5,000 calories. Hot mustard and sweet/sour sauce are essential to pep up a semi bland dish. So…hot mustard is in packets & it came out lumpy & it was rotten/spoiled/rancid which is almost impossible to do with mustard.
