I always love Mi Casa the original, and I don’t go to any other Mexican restaurant but lately, the dining room is very dirty. There were ants crawling on the tables, chairs, and floor. My wife even had an ant crawling on her hand while eating! The dining room needs a very thorough cleaning and an exterminator! I still love the food, but until this clears up I won’t be going. I even took a picture of the table with an ant on it! It is a real turn off when bugs are crawling while your eating! Please clean it up!!

First time I came here I was getting over being sick and couldn’t taste anything so I’m back and HOLY CRAP! I had the Sergio Tacos and the wife had the shrimp chimichanga. She loved hers and the tacos are prolly the best tacos in the area. I a tough critic on tacos too. Next up on the list to try is the California Burrito. Seriously tho, make this place huge and successful. Try the Sergio tacos and youll thank me for it….go ahead, I’ll wait

The food was delicious, perfect for sitting outside and watching the Bourbonnais Friendship Festival parade in front of the restaurant. The employee was very friendly and helpful. The elotes are tasty and fresh. The horchata was delicious!!

So sad.. I think this place might be going downhill. I’ve been coming here for several years. I ordered three tacos and an order of chips & queso to go this past Saturday. I was surprised that the total was $16 when paying, but I know prices are going up everywhere. Have you ever had that feeling that your inconveniencing staff just by being there? There annoyed you’re their for seemingly no reason? That’s how I felt the whole interaction. I grabbed my order and decided to sneak into one of my tacos on the car ride home. I’m glad I did because the tacos were on corn tortillas when I ordered flour. I dreaded going back in because I already felt like I had annoyed the lady just by picking up my food. I mentioned that I ordered flour and with some huffing she took the food back to the kitchen. 3-4 minutes later she brought out my tacos, and then zoomed away. Unfortunately they hadn’t put the chips and queso in the new bag. I mentioned that, more huffing, and then she went to get the rest of the food. I dipped into my taco again in the car and they had just scraped the ingredients from the corn taco onto the flour tortilla. So they were half-filled and cold. I’d pay $16 from time to time for three tacos, chips, and cheese…But I think I’ll pass up Mi Casa now. It’s a shame because I’ve recommended it to so many people...

I’ve ordered here many times. At least 10 times. They don’t give salsa almost every time. When you ask, they’re annoyed that you ask. If you ask for extra, because they don’t give you enough, they get annoyed. Their guacamole is way over salted every single time. I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just their recipe. It also has way too much lime.

Their green salsa is always too thick, even when room temp (not just when cold) and way too much lime.

They just don’t have great recipes here. Nothing has been consistent anytime I’ve ordered.

The one young white girl is always very nice. Everyone else is just rude. Even the owner lady. She’s just rude and you can tell she’s not very nice. I’m sorry, you need to read this and cheer up. You own a business open to the public. Step it up, lady.

No Mexican restaurant should EVER be picky about salsa. It’s just against the rules. Salsa is cheap. Make more. Have extra on hand.

I know my food. I know my Mexican food. I gave them 10+ chances to get it going and they are just sub par. Go to Isidro’s for tacos or up to Gracie’s lucky burrito in Monee for Mexican. It’s worth the drive. Kankakee has weak Mexican food.

Sorry for the harsh review. That’s how you learn. Take it and use it as fuel...

I have been going to Mi Casa for about a year now and haven't had a bad meal. Their tacos and burritos are awesome. The Big Torta (pick your flavor, they're all good) is huge. The fajita quesadilla is amazing. I could keep going. If you'reblooking for a cozy place that will deliver on taste, this one is for you.

My original review was 4-stars and from 5 years ago. The food and service are still good. Unfortunately they have decided to openly start passing the credit card fees incurred by all businesses directly to their customers. They have a sign posted that if you pay with a card, you will get a an extra service charge. If you can't afford the known operational costs of running a business, or can't find a better way to disguise the additional money grab, maybe you should close your doors. I used to dine here weekly. Now, I will...
