El Burrito Loco — Restaurant in Bourbonnais

The foods.. Food pretty basic Mexican styled food. Nothing that stands out really. The salsas were nice though and they made the food stand out a little The service was fine? If I'm being generous. Not very hospitable, or welcoming. They took my order and gave me my food though so I'll give them credit for that. The workers seemed very polite and friendly, besides the cashier. Normally the cashiers are the friendly type not the dude making my tacos or taking the trash out. I guess their are exceptions though and this place is it. Saw who I believe to be the owner/manager talking in Spanish in a very rude fashion. They're keep your restaurant up and running but you talk smack about them and say they're worthless? Cool I guess? My family and I just left here, within 10 minutes of leaving my son started vomiting I feel like I'm going to vomit any minute now and my husband's stomach is upset as well. We called to let them know that something wasn't right and the manager told me we just weren't used to the type of food they were serving. Apparently she is also a doctor because she informed me "it takes a few hours before we should feel the effects if something was wrong with the food". I had a taco salad which is just ground beef lettuce and tomato there should be anything in there that would be unique to the food I'm used to eating. I have been going here for almost 15 years. Always great food and service. A few weeks back in the drive through my son started having a seizure. I had just ordered and quickly took off to the hospital never receiving the food. Two weeks later I went back and ordered. When the man took my card and started to run it he noticed the name and told me they owed me a dinner. I explained that it wasn’t their fault. He handed me back the card and told me that we would call it even. It meant a lot and I will still come back every chance I get. Every item is great and always served fresh and hot off the grill.
