Taco John's — Restaurant in Bourbonnais

My 1st visit to this place. It was ok, I went through the drive-thru, I ordered the six mixed taco combo which is 3 soft tacos 3 hard tacos and 2 LG O'es, which is a small round potato deep fried. I ordered 4 steak tacos which I was not told that there was a $3 up charge when I ordered. When I had placed this on the app the total came out to $22 and some cents, when I got to the window my total was $34.57, which was quite a shock to me. The gentleman that took my order was very kind the girl that served my order at the drive up window was very kind. The taste of the food was okay probably would have been better if there would have been some cilantro on there. I had to wait about 5 minutes for my order at the window which of course backed up the drive up line. And instead of having me pull forward they serve One customer at a time which I'm okay with that. I actually expected it to taste better than what it did that's why I'm giving it four stars. Most of those stars go to the employees that took care of me. We waited 10 minutes when we walked in the door for anyone to even acknowledge we were there. We also had to ask if they were even open to get someone to talk to us. They took my order, didn’t tell me my total or anything. We went and sat down and waited for 15 minutes for our food to be ready as we watched a dozen cars come and go, like we weren’t paying customers too. We were the only people inside and they had 3 workers. We had to walk up and ask for our food, instead of it being called out. When they gave us our food no one said sorry, so I asked for a refund. The manager, Kelsey didn’t say anything to me. Not “I’m sorry” or “how can we make it right.” She just seemed more annoyed than anything. I...

They like to brag about fresh ingredients, but the hard shell taco was probably more stale than one from Taco Bell when Dorito shells were new. Thank God they ditched most of them latley as the OG shells are finally fresh again! Can't say the same for Taco John's hard shells at this location, particularly today.

The last time I was at Taco John's... maybe 5 years ago... they had an amazing pork burrito... miss it.

They have simplified their menu to the extreme now and pretty much have potatoes in all burritos (which I hate). Remove the potatoes filler and there isn't much left, including all the breakfast burritos.
