Conveniently located off I50 and exit 13a, pass Toyota of Bowie, various restaurants and shops, is this location. It's tucked away and not easy to see but worth the experience. They is plenty of parking, the store is configured differently so don't be surprised to discover your favorite items in a different location. That's the one difference from the other BJ's. Also you may find items here that are not available at the other stores. The gas station is separate, service is quick, prices are competitive and lines move quickly.

Simply disgusting. The picture attached is from this Bowie location on 6/25/22. I normally purchase all of our food in bulk at this location but the entire selection of meat was either moldy as pictured or contained a suspiciously high amount of moisture in the packaging. There were no signs alerting customers to the conditions of the food, allowing an extreme health risk. This is totally unacceptable for any store, much less a company that requires a membership to shop. Do not trust any refrigerated or frozen products here!

Grab your own 🛒 shopping cart on the way in, don't think you're going to get a rotisserie chicken 🍗 today either they won't be ready or the chef 😭 has left for the day. Who knows? 🤔 or maybe he just didn't want to do it . That wasn't his job 😕 .Then go to a register without a cashier and check yourself out, then wait on the front end clerk to come over because you have an issue with the scanner. I was just visiting with a friend and I am so glad that I switched over to Costco

My family lives in Bowie and we have been BJ's members for more than 10 years. This morning I had a very insulting experience with BJ's and I have to voice our my concerns and frustrations on Google so other customers can shop with caution.

This morning after sending my children to school, I was in a super good mood and clipped some BJ's coupon, longing for a relaxing shopping fun before the holiday season starts. Everything was fine, and I checked out my 20 some items with a register (#7) and went to the front door. The door man (Robert P) there checked receipt took like five minutes and said: "there is one item that you did not pay for!" I was surprised and he then pointed to the deer park water. Okay, I thought since I left the water on the cart so the register might have missed. Things happen we all understand. SO I went back, waited for the same register in line, and she was surprised that the water did not ring. She said the scanning machine might be not functioning at that moment. I was still in a good mood and said "No problem" to her and went back to the front door.

Then the saddest part occurred. After I politely showed my receipt of the water to the front door man Mr. Robert again, he looked suspicious and examined my cart one more time, and asked me for the information. I felt so insulted in front of many people for a mistake that was caused by either the register or the scanner in the store. After like a million seconds, he finally let me go.

There must be some practice that was wrong here. I will highly unlikely to shop again in that store just because of this experience. Over the whole event, it all seemed to be the customer's fault, but IT IS NOT!!! When I mentioned to the manager of the BJ's about my experience, there is no willing to improve. I am deeply...

This was my first time visiting the store. The greeter was very helpful & so was the manager. I was told to go to customer service for a one time pass that would be 20% of my purchase. There was only one cashier who took at least 20 minutes (I'm not sure how long the customer was there prior to me waiting in line) to check out one person who was only purchasing 3 containers. It was obvious that she did not know what she was doing & should have asked for help. Once it was my turn I explained to her that it was my first time at the store etc. She took my ID & told me to grab my cart. Within 5 seconds of me returning she began checking out someone else after I'd been patiently waiting 20+ minutes and my cart was only 5 steps away. I expressed my frustration & she began to argue with me becoming belligerent while covering her name tag with her hand after refusing to give me her name.. The customer apologize & told me that he did not know while she dismissed me & told him to ignore me bc she did not care.. The on shift manager came to access the situation. He then apologized & asked the cashier to please check me out bc he wasn't able to. She refused his direct orders! I overheard her name, Cindy, while the manager was PLEADING with her to check me out..

She also caused a VERY BIG DISTURBANCE in front of customers yelling for me not to take her picture while I simply asked for her name to report her terrible attitude along with her EXTREME unprofessionalism!!!

Cindy needs retraining or a different job!!

I intend in returning to this location again bc of the prices, quality of the food & everyone else's great customer service except for Cindy..

I will contact corporate if I return & Cindy is still there with the same disrespect & lack of...

I am a longtime Costco member who wanted to see what BJs was about. I went with my sister and I was not impressed.

First let me say that the only reason I am not giving one star is because the employees at the Bowie BJs were very nice. Beyond that though I would never go back and recommend others find some other warehouse store.

I'll be brief with my criticisms: One of the worst things is that there were constant announcements over the PA that started with a loud tone. Absolutely horrible experience. It was like I was getting thumped on the head each time the tone occurred and it couldn't have been louder. Reminded me of K-Mart in 1981 or something.

Although there was probably a bigger variety of products, the prices definitely weren't better than Costco's and the there weren't as many organic options. Lots of the products were the exact same. Best thing I can say is that they have a much larger selection of cat products.

A huge line for the registers that almost reached the back of the store. When we finally reached the front, we elected for self checkout. One of the worst self-checkout experiences I have ever had. The system stopped for "customer assistance" 4 times during our checkout. So we had to stand there and wait for someone to come over and scan their card for absolutely no reason (The rep said there wasn't any actual reason for it.) No wonder the lines were so long.

Then the line to leave the store was long and slow with one person carefully checking each receipt. This happens at Costco too, but it seems to go much faster.

My recommendation is to avoid this store. People in Bowie and Crofton have other choices besides this dimly lit, slow...
