Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Really slow service for 3 people working. Took 4-5 minutes for someone to come over to the register and take our order. Took another 15-20 minutes for our food to come, even though it was ordered to go. Workers seemed very disorganized. Found a piece of black hair stuck to the tape on my sandwich wrap paper. When I opened my sandwich, it was a mess. Had to eat with a fork. Only two choices for chips. Staff seemed unfriendly. Didn't even say hello when someone finally walked over to the register. When I asked what the difference between the sub sizes were, she said "5, 8 and 15" without explaining as to what her numbers were. Had to ask to confirm that they were talking about inches. When waiting for our food, heard conversation between employees that should not be happening with people in the restaurant. Heard (in a loud sarcastic voice) "I like your customer service voice". I used to like this place. But, it has been HORRIBLE the last few times I went. I had to decide to take it off the list of places me and my family go to for lunch or dinner. We usually get their fresh cut fries. In the beginning, it was eye opening. Wow, fair like fries all year long. They are pricey, but seemed worth it. The last few times the fries were either old and tasteless or raw or burnt beyond edible. I always ask for fresh fries and that always come back with a nadty look and odd comment. I like to say that I get the calories either way. Why not the freshest possible fries. Makes a big difference. Save yourself the headache and go to 5 guys in Rossford. We walked in to find one female employee sitting on the counter eating a sandwich and licking her fingers next to where her coworkers were preparing our food. We should have turned around and walked out but were wanting to get back on the road.

We were the only 2 people in the store on a Sunday night around 6:45pm. There were 5 employees working yet there was trash on the floor and the tile was so greasy/ dirty you slipped when you walked.

After we paid for our food I noticed another employee eating a fry while she was preparing our food on the grill.

I understand that it’s difficult to find GOOD employees these days but I would think it important to follow health codes. It was depressing to see such apathetic staff. Common courtesy and work ethic are lacking at...
