On Friday, April 28, at your restaurant, my mom ,who is disabled and in a wheelchair, was intentionally and physically assaulted by a server who was under the influence of drugs/alcohol. This server was not even our server. She came to our table from out of nowhere, started talking out of her head, and then assaulted my mom. I immediately ran to my mom's rescue, and in so doing, I almost caught a charge. If it had not been for the manager running back there, I would have gotten a charge. The manager sent the server home, but NEVER apologized to my mom. I reported this incident to Ryan's Corporation yesterday. Last night, John, the Regional Manager, called me about the incident. He immediately apologized and assured me that that server was terminated. He also told me that she was not allowed back on the restaurant property. Furthermore, he called my mom and told her the same thing. Today, Sunday (4/30) , I returned to Ryan's to eat dinner with my daughter and grandsons . While there, I was harassed by the manager and a grill cook. The manager approached me asking me about the incident Friday. When I told him I didn't want to discuss it with him and referred all questions to John , he laughed and said " that's o.k. he comes here all the time." A few minutes later, while sitting at my table eating with my family, A grill cook who was on the clock , came and sat down at a table across from our table. I then loudly heard him discussing the incident that involved my mom being assaulted Friday night and saying my name with another patron. He was pointing at me as well . Then the grill cook lwent on to tell me what happened Friday night and he wasn't even back there. After hearing this for a few minutes, I told him to leave me alone, but he continued to ridicule me in front of and on the dining room floor packed with a lot of other patrons. I then left out of the restaurant to call John, the Regional Manager and the person I spoke with yesterday, but he didn't answer or return my call. I truly feel like today's incident was done in retaliation of me filing a complaint. After paying almost fourteen dollars for my meal and drink , I was not able to enjoy it because of the harassment I experienced on this day. These incidents happened at the Ryan's in Bowling Green, Ky...UPDATE: 05/07 John, the Regional Manager promised my Mom some free coupons , but as of this day, she has not received anything. Just to also let you all know, There were 6 other family members sitting at the table with me who witnessed this crazy woman assaulting my Mom as well. A lot of people have asked me if we got to eat for free after this happening, No!!! They didn't even offer that to us. Sadly, they continue to blame me for reporting this incident instead of taking full responsibility for it. I did nothing but try to protect my Mom. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau. Finally, because of this incident, My mom now feels REALLY frightened everytime we take her out to eat: So, for Mother's Day, instead of us taking her out to eat like we always have in the past, We will be eating at home...
Read moreThis was not a pleasant experience at all. They were very busy and what few empty tables they had were piled with dirty dishes obviously from other tables as well. The food buffet was not kept fresh or full. Several of the food items were dried out and obviously no one was touching them but they would not bring out pressure products. I am on a strict eating program (low carb) and there were very few choices that I could eat. There were over 50 selections of hot foods and a salad and dessert bar however the only items that they had that were not breaded or carbohydrates was green beans, baked fish which was dried out, baked lavender chicken, and a few selections on the salad bar. I wish that more restaurants had fresh vegetables that were not fried or potatoes. I ate two pieces of baked chicken and a small salad. They did not have any low carb salad dressing options as they were out of ranch dressing for some reason and the other offerings were full of sugar. It was $12 per Buffet and I just did not feel that a piece of baked chicken leg and a baked chicken thigh and a small side salad were worth that amount of money. If it were not for my nutrition needs it would have been a good Buffet to eat at. Even with the old dried-out offerings there were plenty of other things to choose from if you did not have to...
Read moreLet me start off by saying it is a buffet. First, the prices are pretty reasonable. Plus they give discounts to seniors and military. Second, the place is very clean and they are always keeping they bar areas wiped down. The plate plates and utensils are kept right next to waterless handwash. And last, the food is delicious. There is plenty of different choices. There is a salad bar with a bunch of fresh vegetables and a variety of dressings. There's a cold bar with a variety of salads and fruit. There are 3 other hot bars. I'm not sure what they have for lunch but for dinner the meats were steak (ribeye), ham, roast beef, fried chicken and fish. There were also tacos and or nachos and Orange chicken with rice. Then there is a wrap around bar of desserts. I didn't even make it over there but I did see cake and ice cream. I guess I should should have said said this is last, the people. They were great. They all were so nice. They kept the table cleaned off and your drinks filled. We were on a trip to the Corvette Museum and ran into Ryan's and so glad we did. We ate dinner there once and breakfast twice we liked it so much. I wish they never left...
