Waffle House — Restaurant in Bowling Green

Normally Waffle House has the best waffles.

This last time, it was terrible. Both my niece and myself ordered the double blueberry waffles. Originally I believed the edges were loaded with lots of blueberries. Then they placed the plates in front of us. The edges were completely burnt. My son ordered the bacon egg and cheese on toast.

They brought some type of cheese steak, immediately I asked them for the bacon, egg, and cheese. They left him the cheese steak, I am assuming they were wanting him to eat it.

About 10 minutes after my niece and I finished the waffles, I asked her how much longer for my son's food.

At this time, I asked her to take away the steak sandwich and that no one was going to eat that sandwich.

It took a full thirty minutes following serving the wrong sandwich, for his correct food to arrive.

It came with blackened bacon and edges of the toast burnt.

The family behind us did receive good looking waffles, but their toast on their two sandwiches they ordered were also burnt.

The father of that family complained and only paid $3 something for 4 people; we had to pay full. I won't be coming back...

If there was a zero I would have rated it that. There was a new server in training whom while taking my husbands order as well as my own , decided to reach over the table and started to touch my husbands shoulder and started to rub on my husband's arm. We informed the manager and just got our food to go. We will never come back here ever again. The food was by far lacking, the mushrooms they use are caned and the bacon is not cooked properly. We did not receive everything that was ordered. Worst dinner ever. They truly give Waffle House a bad name. They should not be open. And even after we spoke to the manager the female waitress in training still lingered around our table even after the manager told her to leave us alone and for her to stay away from us. We were waiting on our order so we could go and she continued to reach on our table and remove our items we did have. I see why there are two Waffle Houses on each side of Exit 22 - this one was super busy on a Sunday at 11 am.

Pros: Service wasn't bad.

Cons: All hip-hop/rap is banned from the Jukebox. The cooks tried to clean a mess off the extremely dirty floor and then go back to cooking wearing the same gloves. Someone had to remind them to change their gloves and the cooks looked a bit confused for a second. They were sitting solo people at a table while groups of 3 or 4 were waiting to be seated. I was pretty sure it's Waffle House policy to seat solo people at the counter so bigger parties could sit at the tables. The hash brown bowls were much smaller than I've ever received at any other Waffle House and the hash browns were overcooked.
