I first visited this place in February while house hunting.. I was excited about it's location and first welcoming impression by Scott the owner. I returned in June and continue to go due to it's location by the marina. Unfortunately I stop going after a while as it appeared the owner had no regards to the comfort or safety of their customers (or selected customers) by avoiding the mandated mask requirement. He also sold the disposable paper masks for $5 each. I continued to visit but sat outside. I walked in one day and the girlfriend/worker had no mask at the register so I politely ordered from a distance in hopes she would put her mask on. She did, but following that visit she became cold with me and made it clear she didn't appreciate my subtle approach. Not very professional behavior from a business owner's stand point of view.. I stopped going for a while but then decided to try again just recently. I ordered breakfast and what I found was a hair in my food. I pointed it out to the owner, he apologized and said he didn't have his hat on while cooking the meal and then proceeded to put his cap on. I also noticed a customer, on this same day, walking behind the counter to get his own coffee. It was my understanding this is an employee only area. I gave it two stars because of it's location. Will not visit again. Recommend trying My Cafe with a similar atmosphere. I hesitated to write this review but didn't feel comfortable voicing my concerns with the owner.
Update: Scott, I'm sorry you were surprised at my review. And no we were not like family so unsure why you made that comment. I...
Read moreI recently visited a charming little café called Marina Cafe Boynton and I must say it was an absolute delight! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home. What sets this place apart, however, is its homely atmosphere. The décor is cozy and welcoming, with comfy chairs and soft lighting that create a relaxed vibe. It's perfect for catching up with friends, reading a book, or just enjoying some quiet time alone.
But perhaps the best part about Marina Cafe Boynton is Scott, the friendly owner who always greets customers with a genuine smile. He takes the time to chat with everyone, making sure they feel like valued guests. His passion for coffee and hospitality shines through in everything he does.
If you're looking for a place where you can enjoy great coffee in a warm and friendly environment, look no further than The Marina Cafe Boynton. Highly...
Read moreA weird eclectic mix of hippie, surfer, modern coffee shop, and rastafarian... failing at being any, left having an identity chrisis in the chaos of misplaced furniture. If the cashier is going to handle food, then she needs to put gloves on. She picked up and served cookies without doing so...hands only! not using the tongs! .. after taking payment and working the cash register. Later, she put on black gloves.. but did not change them between working the register, picking up used dirty dishes, and serving fresh food. An order of 2 bacon, egg, cheese on brioche and 1 avocado toast took OVER 30 minutes, so we asked how much longer and were told 3 more minutes .... finally after 6 or 7 minutes the egg bacon cheese on brioche showed up - a few minutes later, the avocado toast. We ordered the Avocado toast with a fried egg over hard. The egg was runny. Had to have it redone....
