Sushi Jo — Restaurant in Boynton Beach

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Sushi Jo!!!! My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years! We come so often, in fact, that we now know all of the servers, and they know us, personally. It's like having a home away from home! Not only do they have the BEST sushi in Boynton Beach, hands down!!!! It's ALWAYS fresh, ALWAYS amazing, and now, we don't really even need to order! We simply sit at our usual table outside and any one of the servers we know and love will promptly come out and ask us if we want our usual (which is almost always edamame with salt on, large sake, eel avocado roll and sometimes if we're hungry enough we add another hamachi avocado roll). Unfortunately, for me, I am highly allergic to shellfish, so I cannot have many of the rolls offered on the menu. I do know from close friends who also frequent Sushi Jo that any of the other amazing rolls on their menu are AWESOME! The only drawback of Sushi Jo is how small the inside of the restaurant is. This is why no matter what time of year, my boyfriend and I will sit outside and brave the humidity. After all, once we've shared 2 sakes and added the heat of lots of Wasabi the humidity doesn't seem to matter much anymore 🫠😜! As long as Sushi Jo is there we will ALWAYS be patrons! If you haven't tried Sushi Jo in Boynton Beach (they have other locations, I know of one on Belvedere Rd in West Palm Beach but have never gone in. I actually pass it on my way home from work) you are thoroughly missing out! I have been to multiple different sushi restaurants in the Boynton Beach area and NONE, not a single one compares to the quality and price of Sushi Jo! When we add in the warmth of the servers who know us and take care of us like we're the only people in the restaurant (and I promise you that we're not!) There's simply no reason I can find to EVER go anywhere else for awesome sushi (unless I want to drive 30 minutes to Boca!) Thank you so much, everyone at Sushi Jo! We love you so much! Excellent sushi and great customer service. My first experience here when I arrived, they read back my order and had an item wrong. It was fixed immediately and they were nice enough to give me the other roll for the mistake which was much more than I thought that they would do. On top of that, they had a positive attitude the whole time. I got my order for takeout and brought it home. I have to say, I have been sleeping on this place! Every roll, including the free one was delicious and usually when I go for sushi, I only really like one of the two or three rolls a lot and the others are just ok. Really high costs, really mediocre sushi. Extremely disappointing. We have been to their locations throughout South Florida, and this one has probably turned us off for good. Wait staff highly inattentive to us not one time but twice we came here same results. Sushi is ok, it was something we could trust consistency even though nothing special. However, the cost is insane. Literally more expensive than some of our top tier sushi restaurants including Miami Beach. Fish pales in comparison to the price, and the size of the rolls. We left very let down. $18 for the smallest sushi roll you have ever seen because we ordered "Toro" told the wait staff we were pretty sure it wasn't toro, they didn't care and gaslit us. Sorry, been eating sushi for decades, not falling for this again, so many better places that have better value AND...
