Came here with a large party of 10+. First time experiencing Korean BBQ and I really enjoyed it. Joseph was our server and was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very patient with us answering all of our questions. He was very attentive so kind even offering us cushions for the chairs! I have never been to a place that offer cushions for seating! Great service by that young man always checking in on us. Would recommend asking for him! Service 12/10!
They have lots of options, though in my opinion its way overpriced for meat I have to cook myself? So, I went with some apps and a bibim bap chicken. It came in a hot stone bowl with rice, vegetables, and an egg. Appetizers came out quick and the sauce for the gyoza is to die for! But it took awhile to get the bibim bap and someone in our party got their bibim bap in a metal bowl since they "did not have enough hot stone bowls"? I guess we ordered to many bibim baps for them to run out? (11 bibi baps) Like I said, our food took a while while some members of our party already got food and was cooking their meats. A little disappointed waiting for our food for it to be ok. Tried some of the bbq it was amazing! Have to get the bbq next time seems to come out faster and tastes way better although the price is kinda steep. Bibim bap 6/10. BBQ 7/10.
Overall, I enjoyed my time and the service. This place is fairly new so I hope the kitchen can get everything sorted to handle the large volume so that food can come out faster. Will come again to try the bbq....
Read moreMy boyfriend and I went to try Korean BBQ for the first time here last night. We went around 9:20pm and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy. Our Server James was super helpful and described what things came with and what things were more popular.
We Ordered: Yangyum Galbi (Short Rib) - Entree $40 Two Steamed Pork Gyozas - Appetizer $18/both Miso Soup - Entree $16 Hot Green Tea - Drink $4
It was enough for us foodies to be satisfied. The short rib came with all the little sauces and things like in the picture. The winners for us were the Short Rib (TRY IT) and the Pork Gyozas, we ended up ordering a second round before we left 😅
Disclaimer: Everyone has different taste buds and find some things good others bad. We are both hispanic and used to certain foods/flavors.
While we both agreed on the Short Rib and Gyozas, He loved the Miso Soup, while I did not. It was my first time. It tasted like mushroom broth mixed with zucchini, I didn't really like the taste. The Hot Tea was ok, as I would expect. From the little bowls that cane with the Short Rib, we loved the potato salad, the potato strings and a soy and onion sauce, that was it.
My boyfriend said he would like to come back and try the Dinner for 2 ($100) and try a different cut of meat, so we will be back soon! Thank you ROK's Prime...
Read moreYelp always puts me on! I was browsing on Yelp one night and thinking about going to the usual kbbq spot in Boynton, when I saw that ROK Prime was open. Wow! I love ROK down in Lauderhill. I'm so glad these are the same owners. This only difference I see is that the Boynton location does not have an AYCE option.
We decided to try it out on a Saturday night. They are open late Friday and Saturday until 11pm. Very much a pro. We walked in - not even realizing this is a soft opening - and they were busy. A lot of the tables were already taken up. We saw a very clean restaurant with kpop videos playing. The staff working the dining room seemed to be working together as well.
We were seated at a table and scanned a QR code to look at the menu. We were 2 adults and 1 kid. They allowed us to order the meal for 2. It was plenty of food. We had received 2 meats to cook, rice, jabchae, salad, soup, corn and cheese appetizer, and side dishes. All for $100. Service was also a 10/10.
I've told so many people about ROK Prime already! Can't wait...
