I really wanted to love this place, as we drove about 30 minutes to get there, but unfortunately I did not. We got there around 5:30pm. There is indoor seating with two tables outside for outdoor seating. It is spacious but extremely, and i mean eerily, silent inside of the establishment. No ambience music, not even the chatter of employees. We used the touch screen to place our orders. There are no deep decriptions of the eggrolls on the touch screen but there is a menu board along the wall which is helpful that provides a content description of each eggroll. There were three people in our party and we all decided to order the birria eggroll but chose differently for our second option. I chose the philly cheesesteak and everyone else ordered the seafood deluxe and el cubano. For two of the orders fries were added. (Garlic parm and seasoned). There is a seperate upcharge for the addition of fries and sauces. (Thank you to the prior reviewer for the warning.) It took about 15 minutes to recieve our order which is reasonable. (I had read a prior review stating it took longer and i did not have that experience.) The service was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately the eggrolls were dry and greasy at the same time. This means that the oil may not have been up to temp before they dropped the food in. The fries were slightly oily but very good. The birria eggrolls were dry and underseasoned. I feel like the sale of a birria eggroll would have been a great opportunity to serve a birria sauce with it but they did not have that. The philly eggroll was also on the dry side but definitely tasted different than the birria, like a philly cheesesteak. The cubano was also on the dry side but did show the layers of pickles, rice and pork. The seafood deluxe eggroll was... different. I cant pinpoint what the flavor profile was aside from "fishy" but i dont think I'd buy it again. Now the banana pudding cheesecake!!!! That is a must buy! I dont believe they make it onsite but they should definitely keep it on the menu. Overall the best purchases of the night were the fries and banana pudding cheesecake. The workers were pleasant and onpoint with ensuring the orders were correct. I really hope the owners read the reviews and make some adjustments because the brick and mortar spot has potential but more care needs to be placed into the products being promoted. I would give it another go but maybe at a different time to ensure the eggrolls were fresh...
Read moreNO MENU ONLINE. ZERO MENU ONLINE. NOT EASY TO FIND OR READ IF IT IS ONLINE. The WEBPAGE for this place of business doesn't load FULLY. The menu doesn't load. The website page isn't owned by this place of business. hence why I can't see a legible menu. The photos are posted by customers. The photos are grainy and blurry on iOS, android and computer. No solid information can be read on the menu. I called. I thoroughly explained this information to whom I was speaking with. I want to place an order but I would like some information regarding the items before I place my order. Either you take phone orders or you do not. If you take phone orders don't be rude when a customer asks questions that can't be answered online. I was placed on hold without giving my permission. I hung up. I called back. Maybe I didn't hear her say hold on, but I hung up. World famous called me back. I experienced heavy attitude from the employee for no good reason because I was very calm, my tone was not abrasive. If anything I was annoyed that I couldn't see the menu online and had to ask questions over the phone that could have been answered from me reading the menu if it were legible. The employee continued speaking over me then insinuated I spoke over her. I'm placing an order, I have to speak to place the order. We can't speak at the same time, I have questions obviously I want answers. The employee was unpleasant, unhappy, not helpful considering the menu isn't online. I asked for the rudeness to end and stop. She refused to stop. She continued by saying relax. Unprofitable, unprofessional and uncalled for. I never wish to do business with a personality like that at any establishment ever. Hope management reads this entire thread because it should NEVER have happened. As easy as it happened,it could have been AVOIDED. Learn to be professional at work and YOU RELAX WHEN SPEAKING TO A CUSTOMER ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. YOU EITHER WANT THE MONEY/BUSINESS OR NOT. EITHER WAY, DON'T BE RUDE ABOUT IT. BE PROFESSIONAL or STOP TAKING PHONE ORDERS WITH NO LEGIBLE MENU ONLINE. THAT'S ALL A...
Read moreThis is a hard review to write. The owner of World Famous has been creating awesome food for a while. The concept is awesome and the food for the most part is great. That being said, since the opening of the Boynton location I’m sad to see the decline in service, efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality. Majority of the people who work there are EXTREMELY rude. One of the girls doesn’t even speak or look at you she just grunts. One night I ordered pickup online. I waited the appropriate 30minutes before heading over. My order hadn’t even been received because no one checked the online orders. So I sat in the parking lot waiting for another 30 minutes. I went back in, still not ready. I then sat in my car and watched multiple people go in to try to pick up food, some who had been there even before me, still waiting. I watched at least 3 people have to walk back in because there was something wrong with their order. Once my order was finished I checked my bag and noticed that I was missing the fries I had ordered. So then I had to wait another 10-15 minutes for my fries to come out. At no point was i offered a refund or even an apology for the delay/ mixup. It’s really more of a hassle to order from here than anything else. The food is good but not worth the aggravation and rude interactions you’ll have to deal with. I hope the owner can do something to turn this around because the food really is good. A good business shouldn’t have to fail due to employee...
