This review is offered in collaboration with the most discerning critics I know: my niece and nephew. After a long, high-energy day—marked by an unfortunate abundance of jumping—we had inadvertently entered the perilous territory of hangry. The bickering began, and soon the backseat of the car was transformed into what felt like a CIA psyop experiment, complete with sharp pokes, dramatic sighs, and psychological warfare. I knew I had limited time before they cracked my own psyche. I asked myself: What is the one thing that cures all ills? The answer was clear—kebabs. So we made a detour to the kebab shop. I was aware of the risks. Chicken nuggets weren’t on the menu, and diplomacy with children in this state is delicate work. But I ordered, fingers crossed, and a spark of hope lit within me when my nephew tried the hot sauce and declared it “acceptable.” My niece, initially wary of a meal that came sans ranch dressing, eyed the unfamiliar sauces suspiciously before settling on the garlic yogurt. She tried it—then promptly attempted to drink it. Hope, once again, stirred. When the main course arrived, my nephew dug in without hesitation. My niece, ever the cautious one, drowned her first bite in garlic sauce, took a tentative nibble… and liked it. What followed was a miracle: five minutes and twenty-one seconds of complete silence as they focused—reverently—on their kebabs. It was glorious. I swear we could feel the light of the heavens breaking through the clouds to bathe us in its glow. But then—tragedy nearly struck. A rogue tomato was discovered, lurking inside the kebab. My wife and I froze, breath caught in our throats. Would this red intruder derail her newfound appetite? Would the presence of hidden vegetables unravel the peace we had earned? A pause. A blink. A shrug. She kept eating. The kebab, it seemed, was too good to abandon. And so it is with immense joy (and relief) that I can report: not only do we adults love the kebabs—with their perfect harmony of grilled meat, fresh vegetables, and blistered bread—but the kids do too. And if that’s not the highest praise, I don’t...
Read morejust stopped in here yesterday. im an absolute sucker for some kebab and saffron rice. i'm also a Halal guys junkie, and have extreme bias... so i was expecting to really dislike this place.
let's get the bad shit out of the way: parking in this location is like getting off i95 at Ives Dairy- a complete nightmare. it's tight, busy, no one is paying attention, and you have enough time to shop for a new bumper because youre considering ramming the vehicle in front of you because theyre moving too slow.
now- inside, it's really clean, and (hate using this word) but inviting. the menu is a little confusing to put together, but manageable.
we got a bowl and a plate, and goddammit was it good. they have 3 sauces on tap (i will get kicked out next time for putting my head there). do i wish there was more protein, of course. did i leave feeling unsatisfied, nope. actually left entirely full.
if you crave halal guys, and accept the fact that a plate is $15-ish instead of the OG $6 plate from the cart..... this is your sign to go here.
Kebab shop- i accept sponsorship in the form of White...
Read moreThe food is always fantastic here! Mediterranean is absolutely a favorite cuisine of mine. I'm probably in this restaurant a couple of times a month. The service is good, it's fast, and the food is very fresh.
They're able to cater to a number of different dietary restrictions. For me personally I've been trying to eat low carb, and there are a lot of options here including bowls and plates with options that are really minimal on the carb count.
I could also see people doing really well here if they're vegetarian, and there are also a number of options that would help you avoid red meat if that's your restriction as well.
The services always really rather fast. I've never done take out from here but based on how good the dine-in experiences I'm sure the takeout is excellent as well.
The sauces are all homemade, and I really enjoy trying a few different ones with each bowl or plate that I get.
In short, absolutely be back. The food is always great and I look forward to...
