I live around the corner from Juniors. I’ve lived in this house for about 18 years I frequent this restaurant because he’s the only mom and pop shop around and personally that’s the only kind of restaurant I frequent.
I will not patronize chain restaurants unless they’re consistent. The only one I ever found to be consistent was a Carabbas, but this is not about Carrabas Saturday night. I ordered a pizza with meatballs and sausage on it not my usual or whatever but I was in the mood are you? What is it well done, I am originally from Brooklyn then Staten Island but I work my entire career in Manhattan. I know what a good pizza taste like I know how to make a good pizza and I’ve also been in the food industry for about 40 years give or take. I called the owner tonight to Xpress , my positive comments on a job extremely well done no pun intended and I feel a lot of times because I’ve been a supervisor a good part of my career as well in senior living, where most of the time and no matter where you go or whatever customer service job you have It’s not very often that you get a complement. So tonight I had the opportunity to call and speak to the owner and let him know how much I enjoyed that pizza Saturday night. I couldn’t stop eating it it was fantastic so for those of you who are looking for that homegrown Fiel that your pizza is not being made on a conveyor belt it’s not manufactured in a plant somewhere and sent from another state in a freezer box where they just heat it up and that’s It With somebody is actually with their own hands, making the meatballs, slicing the cheese, the sausage handing the dough. I just felt that sometimes you need to step out of the zone of negativity and give people credit and praise whenever you can because these days whenever you ask for the manager or the owner I will tell you without a doubt 99.2% of the time it’s a negative comment and you brace yourself for it because you’re so good at listening and giving positive feedback and finding yourself apologizing for something that you didn’t even do wrong yourself but that’s what managing and owning is about so please whenever you have a moment when you think something is good say it say it out loud write it down because it means the world to get one great comment because it outweighs 100 negativeones thank you for listening and I hope everyone has a healthy and a happy holiday season and new year and thank you Juniors for being my neighborhood mom and pop shop that I go to probably at least once a week if not twice a week ,...
Read moreI've given this place multiple chances and each time I go back hoping they'll change my mind but I've finally accepted it. This place is the worst restaurant in all aspects. The staff is rude, unfriendly, and not the least bit knowledgeable about their POS system or even their menu as a matter of fact. The place is dirty from the moment you walk in I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. The absolute worst part about this place is the food. You should only eat here if you want pizza, and definitely do not get it delivered. You will wait more than an hour and get a full priced pizza at about half the temperature it should be served at. Ice cold. Takeout is a must for the pizza but I would never order anything else off of the menu. My girlfriend and I got an order of cheese fries with our pizza one time, and we were served a tin container of fries with a single slice of cheese on top that was barely even melted. I ordered a philly cheese steak another time, which had to be the worst I've ever had. Not only was I scammed out of cheese, I could only taste grill scum and onions on my sandwich. Probably one of those places that cleans the grill once a week. That same day my friend got a Caesar salad and was served wilted and dry lettuce that was browning in some parts. I've tried time and time again to give this place a chance but they just don't seem to know how to cook, how to treat customers, and frankly how to run a restaurant. I've tried asking the manager for the owners info and was shot down saying that they have no contact info and are rarely at the restaurant. Next time I want to go juniors I'll just head to the McDonald's in the same plaza, which is probably more sanitary that this place. Plus I'll get food that's at least held up...
Read moreSOOOO.. What a nightmare and 20$ flushed down the drain. Now I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after this last experience I will not order again. The young lady on the phone was nice but very unprofessional there was an issue with the server for their credit machine in the restaurant and she couldn't take my credit card ,she called me back 5 different times just to run my card, which I was willing to look past honestlybecause things happen and that's no one fault. BUUTTT then the food arrived and it was absolutely disgusting ordered wings they were burnt and extremely dry covered in sauce. I gagged while eating the second wing that I just threw them out!! (I never waste food but it was just gross)on to the Jalapeño poppers they just weren't good...like AT ALL!! The entire ordered was just sloppily made. I wouldnve hoped they would have paid EXTRA attention to what hey brought me as I was EXTREMELY patient with the whole ordering debacle, didn't even bother to call to possible resolve the concern(I wanted my money back but I took it as a loss) because it just wasn't worth the hassle, especially with the way the order was handled originally I was just exhausted by the whole experience honestly.
