Absolutely adorable little spot within the Village of the Arts. The inside is very quaint but they do have outdoor seating as well. The food was very delicious, but be aware it does take a little bit to prepare so if you're in a hurry this might not be the place for you. My pizza (Bianca) was amazing and I REALLY wanted to try their homemade tomato sauce so I asked the (owner?) for a side of it, mentioning I would of course pay extra. There were dishes all over the menu that gave tomato sauce so I didn't think it would be a grand request to ask to try it. She promptly let me know that they do not serve sides of tomato sauce... Seemed a bit odd since it was our first time here but to let your patrons order some tomato sauce at an Italian restaurant but, such is life 😂 I also asked if I could keep a menu to read over and to look over desserts. She quickly took the menu from me and replied "no you can't keep the menu, I'll just tell you what I have". So I ended up ordering the profiteroles, which were pretty good. It says that they are covered in some hazelnut spread but it just tastes like chocolate pudding. But the profiterole itself is very good. I had to walk into the little room she was in, while she was on her laptop, and ask for refills a couple of times. So needless to say, I wasn't feeling very a very welcoming or warm energy here. Fortunately, the food was good enough to negate the subpar service. Would still come back but I would order it to go, I'm too old to have to put up with rude people...
Read moreVentured out to the bradenton art district for some Italian fare. What a cute place! There is limited indoor and outdoor seating and reservations highly recommended..... Menu is limited.... we saw gnocchi on a review and were excited to try but it was a special the night it was posted so we dismt get to try it. They did have a sausage broccolini ravioli special that was really tasty....but, there were only 4 small ravioli on the plate. I did enjoy them. My husband ordered a pizza and while it was cooking, we laughed since we smelled something burning and instantly assumed it was the pizza. And....it arrived very crispy. It looked good though! The bread arrived with pats of butter.... very casual. We are used to hot fresh breads and either garlic butters or dipping oils.....not hard butter pats. We ordered canoli to go for late night....they were yummy.
Prices were extremely reasonable. We were a little confused by the MTV tank top on the bartender/waitress.....a little under dressed for a cute...
Read moreNote to self, listen to your instincts and if it doesn't feel right, just get up and leave. Idk, somethings missing. Love is missing in this place. My Dad, an amazing Chef said, 'you cook with Love or don't cook.' The atmosphere is crowded with stuff, in need of a Fresh femine touch. Usually the place is without warmth because of the server. But I come because I crave the chef's stuffed rib ravioli so, I ordered 2-go, so she doesn't upset my stomach. Don't misunderstand, She's efficient, she even says hello but you know, she just doesn't care if you come or if you go or if you like the food. Sadly, the chef was off, the ravioli was not made or plated with Love. It was edible, not hot; it did not taste fresh, no bread, no salad, everything a la carte, per usual. Not his usual Fabulous! Maybe the storm has brought dreariness. Hopefully, it was just a bad day. Next time put up a sign...Come back tomorrow......
