tl;dr, don't order anything if you don't want to take a chance of waiting longer than expected (+15-25 minutes) for a take out order, or don't want take the chance on having an actually good meal.
The place is great on the inside, incredible aesthetic, but I have had very 50/50 shots with the service and food in the past two years or so. I used to order their pizza and sides for small hangouts with friends because it was the closest to thin "ny style" pizza. But as of late, I have strayed away from ordering anything but their appetizers. The pizza became flavorless and dull compared to something else local like Renna's. And the people working are still 50/50 of if they know at all what they are doing or appear competent at all. I ordered their pizza calzone once and it was awesome!! But tonight I ordered some calzones for me and my dad online and took it home, and we opened the boxes to the crusts of the calzone having completely raw dough but also burnt on the tops. My dad who picked up the calzones informed me the workers were struggling to get one out of their oven due to it being burnt. And my pizza calzone was lacking in ricotta or any inside ingredients in general, quite small compared to what i had previously received. However, we called and we were given a refund. But it still makes me hesitate to order anything else...
Read moreThis place needs a lot of work on customer service. 3 of us went in there today to order lunch and the girl taking the order screwed up on the order and it came to $60.00 which seemed high so when I asked about it, they ended up having to refund the entire amount to my card and then charged me about $38.00 which is fine. Then they bring us a sub with onions and peppers on it and that was messed up so they had to redo that. Instead of saying they were sorry, they acted ticked off and we waited another 15 minutes for the sub. After we had been sitting there an hour, I decided to inquire about the calzone I ordered. They said it had been burned so they were going to make another one. I asked for my money back and told them I wasn't waiting for another 45 minutes for my lunch. They again had to credit the entire amount to my card and then recharge me. After the $7.00 calzone was deducted, the total bill went down by about $5.00 so that was messed up too. No one ever apologized or acted like they were the least bit concerned about any of this. This place is a mess. They didn't just open yesterday. I had to give 1 star because I...
Read moreYou probably want to know about the food, however, I need to start with the theme. 80s rich is an understatement! I loved the whole thing - from the game call outs to the movie posters on the wall. There is even a small arcade attached.
Regarding the food, we got a large plain pie and two orders of fries. That was enough to satisfy 4 adults, although I don't think any of us were extremely hungry. The crust was crispy and somewhat thicker than your standard thin crust and less than a thick Chicago style crust. I won't claim it is the best pizza I ever had, but I will say it was a solid choice. The fries were a bit salty, but a nice side to get with the pizza.
While we did take out order, I can lightly comment on customer service. The casher was friendly and very patient. Don't be shy and feel free to ask questions.
I am not out this way often and in fact this might be a one and done visit, however, I'd still recommend checking them out and would be back in the event I am in...
