A lot of to be improved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One star for the shabu. Minus and all the negative stars for the service. My family and I have been going to this restaurant for years. The service was never impressive, the lack of hospitality is very remarkable, but the food, taste, price and perhaps the understanding of cultural differences could make up for the inappropriate service. However, about a week ago, I went in with my family and I had one of the most uncomfortable situations in front of everyone who was waiting to be seated. The host staff was being inadequate and very rude to an elderly gentlemen who clearly had serious mobility issues. This poor gentlemen got yelled at for parking his walker in an inconvenient place (not once but twice), according to staff lady. If that was not enough, this staff lady managed to go beyond what my understanding ability could bear. My group also had an disable person present, when we kindly asked if we could get a table closer, guess what?! Long story short, I can restate what TayLy End LF - a Local Guide mentioned in her review. To complete the scene, as we nicely thank her to give her and the restaurant environment some positive energy, the host yells at our group saying "BUT SIT THERE, DON'T SIT HERE" (roughly displacing the dishes sets from where she did not want us to sit whatsoever). Even though we got all disturbed with the incident, the group was starving and we decided to stay and I asked the server to bring me the manager/supervisor whenever possible. Guess who it was?! Yes, the host. She walked to our table with the server with a completely different approach and informed us that the manager was not present and maybe s/he would be able to come later that Friday night. The manager never showed up. As we left, I politely asked if I could have a contact info to talk to the manager or owner. I was informed they do not give that information to customers. I responded politely "No problem, if I cannot talk to someone. I will write an online review about the restaurant service". The same previous host asked me " Why? Did you have any problems?". The bottom line is that if you have an elderly or disable person with you DO NOT pick this place. There are certain situations like that which make the lack of hospitality even more evident. I have worked in a restaurant in those positions, I totally understand the stressful environment it turns into during busy hours, but there absolutely nothing that can excuse that lack of respect and professionalism. No apologies were ever said...
Read moreFirst I would like to say I go to this place atleast once a month, never any complaints, the food is amazing and the chefs are awsome. Unfortunitly last night i had an awful experience with the waitress. We get our Bill and i noticed there is an 18% gratuity for my party of 3 so i questioned it. The waitress we have been doing this for years, i said that is untrue as i have been comming here for years , she goes o you must be a regular i’m new i’ll fix that (so u blatantly lied to me said you have been doing it for years and then tell me your new 🤯). so she fixed it and brought me back my bill without the gratuity. so i then paid my bill in cash and as we were finishing our drinks she comes back yelling and demanding MORE money for a tip telling me i didn’t tip her enough thats why she added the gratuity in the first place. I told her she gets what she gets for a tip and that we had tipped our chef separately for the great work that he has done. She literally continues to argue and yell at me in the middle of the restaurant and then starts speaking her language and yelling at the chef. At this point i didn’t even finish my drink and got up and went to the front to speak to a manager and was told there is no manager here. mind you it is 7 at night on saturday and your telling me there is no manager. when i can clearly see the guy in a suit helping hand out food from the kitchen. I am baffled at the customer service at this establishment. I will never knock the chefs or the food and have always recommended this place but after last night and the way i was treated by the waitress, not sure if i will ever go back which is sad because i have been a loyal...
Read morePlace is so dirty. The waitress try to get you to order alcohol and pressure to keep ordering more. They rush you to place the order, walk away without listening to the order correctly. Then they get mad if you ask them to bring the the soup and salad that they forgot to bring before dinner. We ordered 6 fried rices and cook only used 4 eggs on the rice. All the whole time they prepared 2 fried rices to the next table with two eggs. They added way more food to the bill than what we had ordered. They add the tip for any size parties automatically and ask for more tips on top and the cooks expect more tips too. They all got mad when we objected to the added items that were not supposed to be on the bill, the waitress and cook became confrontational. Luckly I recorded the rice being cooked hoping it was going to be a great experience, so the cook lied about the amount of food on the table. They rush rush and think you are not paying attention. They put in a show to hide their cheap service!!! Disgusting classless service. Will never go back. The rice is tasteless they do not even use scallions for fried rice and their soft crab is gross not fresh at all. Alcohol drinks taste like Tylenol and the fountain drinks need to be fixed. The noodles are drenched with unhealthy teriyaki sauce and they use the same sauce of teriyaki for everything. Place is a joke. And the fact that they automatically tip themselves and don't care to provide professional service is unheard of. They tip themselves wether is a party of 1,2,8, etc.....
