Willie McBride's — Restaurant in Branchburg Township

I hate doing this however I have no choice but to be honest. Judging from the reviews my wife and I decided to have a night out. There was a live band playing and the atmosphere was hopping. Our waitress came to the table and took our order. We waited 35 minutes for a salad and a quesadilla. I was ok with that and could see they are busy ...I'm a reasonable person. The food arrived and the waitress came by right after that and put our check on our table. I then questioned if I could get another drink and she told me I would have to order it at the bar because she was leaving. I gave her my card to pay the bill and she quickly returned to sign. I was eating as I just had gotten my food. The waitress reproached and asked if she could take the signed portion because she had to leave. We were left to go ask someone for a to go box and forget about even getting another drink. I could not believe the horrible service. Just an FYI we got there at 7:30 on a Friday Night. It was not late. I understand hey people have emergency it happens. However the waitress should have just simply given us another waitress. Very unfortunate because we were really looking forward to listening to the band enjoying our meal and having drinks. A rare date...

I've literally had this happen 3 times to me.. We ask to sit outside, hostess tells the bartender, or whoever is there, in front of us, that we are sitting outside. 15 20 minutes later nobody steps outside so we go back inside only for a snooty 'nobody told us'. Like hell they didn't, we witnessed it. 3 SEPERATE TIMES. Place wasn't even busy! Like 3 other ppl in the whole place! Compound that with mediocre food, and the last time we were there for a band it was so loud it literally hurt and we left after a drink. Place looks really nice, and it's local so I still go occasionally out of convenience but honestly don't like the place. EDIT: I literally went there the night I posted this review and after being sat outside, with at least 5 other tables, I had to cancel my order because after an hour my nachos never came out and I had to leave. They canceled no problem as if they never even placed the order. Place is never even all that busy, idk how they...

Was there on a Friday night and the place was packed due to a local favorite band playing there (Squad 5 which was really good and had a fun nice crowd dancing)...and understood why it was packed but drink wait times were rediculous 20 minutes or longer and they were clearly understaffed, possibly underestimating the number if patrons celebrating birthdays, see the band and dance.

This may not be a typical night at WBs compared to what I walked into. Drinks-- well they were weak from the bartender that served me and my rum and coke tasted Ike pure soda...my girlfriend even tasted it and asked if anything other than soda an ice was in it? Batching to her about it she nudged me to complain and they graciously rectified it which brought them from a 3 star rating to 4 star. Did not try any food so can't comment on that.
