Newk's Eatery — Restaurant in Brandon

I went inside Newk's to pick up an online order. I gave the employee the name on the order, Debbie, and the server gave me two Newk's drink glasses. I filled the drinks and she offered me a carry out container. I said no thanks...I am environmentally conscience, that is such a waste for two drinks!! I took the drinks out to my vehicle so I'd be able to carry the food out when it was ready. I went back in and she told me my order was ready. I realized that the bag was not large enough for my order, although it had the name Debra on it. I told her that was not the correct order and she checked with the employees who were preparing to go orders and realized that she had given me to go glasses, in error. That order was also for a Debra. The order I was picking up did not have to go drinks (I was only picking up the order, so I did not know this)...she told me I would have to pay for the drinks, or go outside and get the drinks out of my car and bring them back inside. I had to go back outside and get the drinks. I think this was VERY POOR customer service!! She made the mistake, and the glasses had already been filled and handled by me....what exactly was she going to do with them at this point? The meat on the Newk's Q was very skimpy and the chicken and dumpling soup was not very good.....the kid's cheese pizza is rediculous...where's the cheese??? I did not receive the applesauce that was shown on the online picture of the meal...but I did get a kids cup for a...

I know that there is currently a restaurant labor shortage, so I guess that Newk's will take whatever they can find. I intended to eat at the Brandon Newk's today, but upon arrival I found that the dining room was closed. So, I placed a to-go order. By the way, the cashier was wearing a nice chin strap.

When my name was called, I looked at my order and saw a container of dressing inside my salad. I informed the employee that I would like the dressing mixed into my salad. Rather than saying "Yes sir, I'll be happy to do that," I was quizzed on whether I had requested that or not. I informed her that I was not asked and that I assumed that the dressing would be mixed in like it is everywhere else. She reluctantly grabbed the salad from the bag and took it to the kitchen. When she returned, I offered to hold the bag open so that she could place the salad in the bag. However, she just placed the salad on the table and shoved it in my direction without saying anything. A "Thanks for coming in today" would have been nice.

I think it's time for some customer...

So I'm @ newks in brandon,Ms 10/27/2018 lastnight eating dinner alone. Mind you I'm in my work uniform geared up with my deputy weapon on, sitting in the corner minding my own business eating, moreover as I got done eating and started to exit the restaurant a Carcausian (White) Male Brandon police officer was waiting up front for me to leave...As I was leaving out he was talking to another guy up front, but @ the same time checking me out.... I knew he was there for me because as I was exiting the restaurant I saw in the glass door of him (The Police Officer) turning around reading the back of my shirt, trying to see what STATE AGENCY that I work for....Once I made it outside, his car was running so thats how I knew he was there for me...The Police officer waited until I got almost to my car before he got in his car and drove off.....I'm sure someone in the eatery call Brandon PD to let them know that a BLACK MAN was in the restaurant with a gun on his hip.... Racism is...
