Review updated after educating staff about food allergies. Great taste.
FOOD ALLERGY I had given this place 5 stars long time back. Unfortunately, I had to change it due to very unpleasant experience putting customer at the spot as if I am lying. My daughter has SEVERE egg allergy and even after clear directions, they made the mistake of adding eggs. Although this is not the first time a mistake was made here but this is life and death situation. If you are in food business, there is nothing severe than having anaphylaxis because someone was not careful. Anyways, we as parents always double check the food and didn't give it to her. But I was too tired to go back for a replacement. I just made the phone call about this. Here is what happened: No apologies, no refund They said: Somebody need to come back NOW and bring all the food Owner later offered same entry free of charge for the next order Next time I went, they started checking their system, questioning me about the timeline and so on as if I am lying (for a simple fried rice). Still no apologies but started embarrassing me even after they found tons of orders we have placed in the past. I literally paid for my new order, left $15 in change with them (I was too embarrassed to stay there even for a single minute) They said thank you for the tip (didn't care what they did but were happy with the tip)
For owner: Just because you have a good running business, you can not have too much attitude about it. Staff needs to be trained accordingly. Food allergy is life and death matter. I would not recommend to anyone because of their business integrity and such a horrible attitude. Mistakes do...
Read moreMy daughter and I love Thai food and wanted to try out the restaurant. Honestly we were hoping it would have been better. Long wait just to get seated with only 3 tables taken up (another couple next to us complained about the wait also). The table was sticky when we sat down. Food took over 30mins to come out. I don't mind the wait if the food was good. Unfortunately the food was lacking quality and quantity. The tom yum seafood soup only had 1 shrimp 1 muscle 1 scallop and 1 over cooked piece of squid (very tough) also for the price vs portion not worth it. The fried spring rolls, gyoza, and chicken satay were decent in taste but again price vs portions not worth it like other Thai restaurants. The green curry with chicken was salty, watery with over cooked chicken and under cooked green beans again price vs portion not worth it. We put in an order for pad Thai with chicken to go when we first sat and ordered. The waitress who gave us the check looked confused as to why we didn't pay yet, I asked her where is the pad Thai it's on the receipt? Luckily the order was put in. The waitress just almost forgot to give it to us. My wife always complains that I leave way too much for a tip, she didn't complain...
Read moreWe’ve lived in the area for three years now, but this was the first time ordering from Thai Chilli Pepper.
We ordered right on google search (menufy) which was SO amazing. I hope more restaurants take heed because it makes life much easier (with kids) when you don't have to call an order in. The restaurant automatically gave us a 50-60 minute wait, but it was done in 30 minutes.
Now, in terms of food and quality: we usually order from another Thai restaurant further from our home. This was much closer and decided to try it, but I immediately noticed a difference. I always order Pad Woon Sen, and our usual location had a plethora of noodles.
Thai Chilli Pepper had a much better presentation, and the duck was cooked as if it was made for the gods. It was SO good! But, the noodles were very insignificant. I'm glad I got my “moneys worth” in paying for duck, but it was surprising to see that it cost me significantly fewer noodles.
My husband wasn't as impressed with his options, and thought his soup was too spicy (he requested hot). My girls loved everything which included plain white ride and the vegetable fried rice.
Overall, we would consider eating here again to avoid a 30-minute commute to...
