Terrible Service – Never Even Got to Try the Pizza
I decided to order delivery from Times Square Pizza for the first time, but unfortunately, I never got to try the food because of their terrible service. When I placed my order, I was told it would arrive in 40 minutes. Over an hour later (an hour and 10 minutes to be exact), I called to check on the status. The person on the phone assured me the pizza would be there “any moment.”
When I asked if the driver had change for a $100 bill, they told me they don’t accept $100 bills at all. This was never mentioned during the order process. I asked what we should do, and instead of offering a solution, the lady casually suggested voiding the order. By then, my two kids had been waiting over an hour for dinner.
To make matters worse, I found out the food hadn’t even left the pizzeria. Despite being told the driver was “on the way,” the pizza was still sitting at the restaurant. And when I asked how long it would take to get the food, they said it would be another 40 minutes!
The pizza might be great, but I’ll never know because I couldn’t get past the awful service. How does a pizzeria not have change for a $100 bill or fail to communicate honestly with their customers? Waiting nearly two hours with two hungry kids only to be told the food hasn’t left yet is unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone based on their lack of professionalism and poor...
Read moreMy family is from NY and moved here in 2004. For the past 20 years we have tried, desperately, to find a pizza place that could come, at least, close to NY pizza. After a few years we just started eating Hungry Howies, Pizza Hut, etc., not because we particularly cared for it but because if we were going to eat subpar pizza, we might as well save a buck. Finally, we tried Times Square Pizza and found that it was close to what we were loved in NY. The crust is crisp but not burnt, the sauce has a nicely seasoned taste but not that “out of the can” taste and the cheese is generously spread on but not too cheesy where it takes over the pizza. They also make zeppoles, which besides that they are shaped different, taste just like home! They have coupons, if you sign up with text, every week and they even run a raffle. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars on atmosphere is because their chairs could stand to be replaced. My husband, and I used to stop in and dine there for lunch on the weekends but I have a bad back and I can’t sit in the chairs for a whole lunch. Otherwise, the phone is answered quickly and politely, the pickup time is rather quick and the end product is amazing! I highly recommend Times Square Pizza and this is coming...
Read moreI could not order online because they don't have the capability. So, I tried to call but, I couldn't speak, so I had to use text to speech software. First time they hung up, I get it, I'm not mad. But once they understood the issue on the next call, the guy was looking for any excuse to get off the phone. He tried 3 different times. First, was "we can't deliver there" but I said we're across the street in the office park. Then he just said "I can't take this order". Next was "i don't have a delivery guy until 5:30" and I said I would wait. After shooting down his excuses, he ran the card but supposedly it was declined, but instead of being patient to rerun it, he said "I can't take this order because I'm too busy".
Now, its important to note that I do not have a handicap, but was limited due to a vow of silence. He didn't know that, so if I had a permanent impairment that required this software as part of my everyday lifestyle, this would have been a clear case of discrimination.
My heart breaks for anyone that has a permanent condition and has to deal with places like this. Even when my vow of silence is over, I won't support...
