Duck Donuts — Restaurant in Florida

I am a new customer to Duck Donuts. My location is 821 E. Bloomingdale Avenue Brandon FL 33511. On January 10, 2024. I called and spoke with Jason on the phone. I asked him if today they had the $12. Special. I said, I would like to order Two dozen donuts. I asked him to tell me a little bit more about the bacon donuts. He said one was with the maple drizzle. I said may I order one dozen with the maple drizzle and one without he said sure.

I arrived 15 minutes later went to the cashier and paid for the two dozen donuts. She said they were over on the counter I went over and my name was on one box spelled wrong, but that’s OK. I opened up one of the boxes and they were a variety of donuts , which is not what I asked for also with the ongoing issue with Covid I don’t think it’s right to have all the donuts available for anyone to come and look at any box in a public area.

I asked to speak to the manager and it turned out. He was the same person I spoke with on the phone I said, do you remember speaking with me on the telephone regarding the Bacon donuts, he said yes, I said well I wanted a dozen of the maple drizzle and a dozen without.

He said oh, I can understand where you could be confused. I wasn’t confused. I knew exactly what I wanted. He did not explain that the duck dozen special was a variety pack and anybody that was not familiar with your franchise wouldn’t know that they were all different donuts that they choose. I was placing my order over the phone. He said, he would give me one of the dozen with all bacon, but not two and he refunded me for the other dozen. I thought this was very disappointing. He made the mistake not me. I gave him my order over the phone, but he would not honor it.

I will no longer be a customer at Duck Donuts, poor customer service by management. I placed my order over the phone with you,...

“oh my god” is what you can expect to say after the first bite. I have never had donuts this amazing before. Ever. Hands down the best I’ve had in Florida. I had the maple bacon with the salted caramel drizzle and i swear to god it was absolutely divine. I don’t know how I’m expected to not spend the rest of my days thinking about this donut specifically, I’m so serious it was just that good. So fresh. You could smell them as soon as you open the box. The quality is incredible. I love that you can also customize your own donut which is perfect for people who are a bit more particular about what they want (like me). I don’t have a single bad thing to sad or anything they could even improve on. What’s even better is the availability of different flavors regardless of the time of day, compared to other shops I’ve been to here that only make certain flavors on certain days which is kinda disappointing when you’re craving something in that moment. They deserve every single penny for these delicious treats. I will be telling everyone...

Very cool crew. Very welcoming. Love that we get to see the cooking process right up front. We (the hubster, kids, and myself) got a half dozen........ traditional glazed, cinnamon sugar, and, bacon in the sun. The first taste was the glazed. It was like the crispy edge of a slightly sweet pancake. Second taste was the bacon in the sun. It was like eating a maple pancake and bacon sandwich (my personal favorite of the three). The last taste was the cinnamon sugar. This was the least liked of the family. The gritty texture of the cinnamon sugar for some wasn't desirable and the taste (overpowered in cinnamon, but not sweet from the sugar) for others wasn't cohesive like cinnamon sugar on a snicker doddle. The good part is the base doughnut is consistent. Soft, moist, cake based doughnut. The fun is the custom toppings that change the flavor outcome. Their official opening date...
