Found this little hidden gem on my way home from New Jersey Food was great we got a large pie which was new York style and French fries. The pie was delicious just enough topping cooked perfectly. The fries were yummy to not all greasy and soggy. They were firm and yummy! Also had three sodas totaled at 49.00 dollars. The gentleman who took our order was friendly and also served us at our table. The atmosphere was perfect I felt comfortable and not rushed. I definitely recommend this place. I wish I could give this place a 4.5 star review but google doesn’t do halves. The only reasons they get a 4 it was a little pricey but expected n this area and the cleanliness was not so great which I will not get into but I must say the bathroom could use a deep clean. Completely disagree with Ray. Apparently he prefers bland food with zero flavor. Go to any other pizzeria in CT then Ray! I've been enjoying Da Carmines since they opened up and ive introduced them to so many people that love them sooo much they wont go anywhere else. The flavor in all their food is like they really put their heart and soul into it. If you want bland and tasteless food then go to England Ray. Love the food, love the family, love the place. Ordered a large meatball pie and large veggie pie, and small pepperoni calzone. I came in to pick up my order in 30 minutes, was told to give them an extra 5. Ended up waiting 45 minutes total, but they weren't that busy at the time which confused me. Regardless, pizza was okay overall, though the sauce did lack some flavor, and there were barely any meatballs on the pie. For the veggie pie, garlic was a little burnt and the crust was also a a little burnt. Calzone was okay, a little burnt on the edges but same deal with the sauce; tasteless.
