Honestly the food wasn't bad it wasn't good by any means but me and my husband and my toddler went in to eat. I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I stopped here to eat because I needed to eat before taking my prescription medicine I take, so I brought the bottle inside w me so I could take my medicine with the water I got. Well, I forgot my bottle of medicine which is a MUCH needed prescription medicine, controlled substance, and realized I forgot it on the table AS SOON as I pulled out of the parking lot so I turned around and INSTANTLY went back inside and asked to look at the table for my medicine since I knew I left it. Our family was the only family there and the only other person was a female waitress. The female waitress said I could look for the medicine but there was no point bc she had already looked? And that there was nobody there but her. Because of the type of medicine it is I had to call the police, so the police met me there and asked the waitress if she had seen it. The waitress said "no I've even looked in the trash" so the police officer called her manager and asked to review footage. When the waitress heard the manager say she could watch the cameras, the waitress went to the MENS restroom and pulled my bottle of pills out of the MENS trash magically. Although she said she'd looked in all the trash cans. So initially the waitress told me there was no point in looking, told the cop she'd already looked in the trash cans, and then up on hearing cameras would be watched, magically found them in the men's trashcan alone. I'm a pregnant women, I didn't use the men's restroom. For $30, I guess you can get two mediocre meals, some chips and salsa, and have the waitress steal your $100 medicine ONLY giving it back to you when she realizes cameras will be watched. Very disappointed, wish I would have gone anywhere else. The police officer definitely wasn't having it either. Salsa was good though 🤦 I just don't get stealing from a pregnant person, their prescription medicine, seeing I have a kid with me, and having had a couple chances to give it back before the police got there and even after the police officer got there, only giving it back when she realized she wasn't getting...
Read moreTiny little mexican restaurant, cute building but TINY! It was ok, but could have been better. They had a back patio with tables set up but didn't offer that as setting. Tabkes were not spaced out very far at all, maybe 3ft between tables. The menus were taped to the wall and you couldnt touch them, luckily they had a menu online we could use our phones to look at. We had to ask for napkins while we were eating the chips and salsa while waiting for our meals. Then they only gave us 3 small square napkins. The chimichunga dish came with 2 chimis instead of 1 like other places so I ordered that. The chimis were really small, only about 4 inches long and had ground hamburger in it instead of shredded steak beef. When we asked about it they said they only make them with ground beef. (I have never been to a place that didn't serve steak beef in them). It was basically a tortilla filled with taco hamburger meat then deep fried. Nothing like a real chimichunga! I didnt even touch the 2nd one because it wasn't very good and I definitely didn't take it with me when they offered a to-go box! We had asked if they had a menu for adult beverages and they said no but told us they had all the different margaritas. So I ordered a strawberry margarita, then they said they didn't have the flavorings and no blender to make them with, but the table next to us had a margaritas?! There was only 1 waitress working all of the tables by herself. She was very friendly but super busy! We were served in decent time and our food was super hot. Unfortunately we didn't have silverware to eat with though so after waiting for about 5 minutes we had to ask for that also! Then right before we left the tapped menu that was on the wall fell off and guess what was on the back of it, an adult beverage menu!! It was NOT the best experience at all, and DEFINITELY...
Read moreWent there for simple appetizers after a long day. My wife and I ordered the quesadilla supreme appetizer for nearly nine dollars figuring it would be plenty for both of us. We also added a large bowl of queso cheese dip for our chips and salsa. Living in Albuquerque and having had them there and elsewhere, we expected a quesadilla that would be about 10-12 inches round cut into 6-8 pieces along with the guacamole and sourcream toppings. What we received was a quesadilla that was at best the size of a taco shell, 6-7 inches in diameter at best, along with two small slices of a tomato and a dollop of guacamole with about a heaping teaspoon of sourcream. The basket of chips had maybe 6-8 whole chips and the rest were broken pieces about just over the size of a quarter each. They even brought us another basket, but they were even smaller broken chips. The bowl of queso cheese was more like just under a cup in volume. All told, the food was over 15 dollars. It was interesting that we could have purchased two quesadilla meals off the menu for about $12 dollars, which left us questioning why a single appetizer that was really only able to serve one was nearly nine dollars? Maybe we are spoiled by good Maxican food in Albuquerque, but a quesadilla that is the size of a plain tortilla given as a side to an entire meal at a typical Mexican restaurant is not worth four dollars, much less over eight dollars. On the bright side, the service was over attentive to the point if someone wanted to have a private conversation, they would have been hard pressed...
