I recently visited the museum and having read the pamphlets at the hotel my wife and I made sure to include you on our list of things to do. Me being a disabled Veteran I try to visit many museums that pertain to what I did during my time in service. This way my wife can see what I endured during my time. As always when I am about to enter a Veterans museum I get butterflies in my stomach because of the moments I remember. Once inside your museum I noticed it started like all the rest and included many items about the world wars. Korean war, and the Vietnam war. However once I reached the section pertaining to the first Gulf War I was very disappointed. It was if this war did not matter to your museum and you didn't waste much space nor have much on display that truly showed what we went through. We were soldiers just like in all the other wars and it is amazing how little credit your facility gave to the people that put their life on the line in the first Gulf war. We too lost lives and lived through hard times the same as the rest and should be respected as all the rest are. The people that took our money were really nice people and the facility was very clean and well kept. The saddest part is I received more respect from the people at the motel we stayed in, as far as what I did in the Military, than I was given at your museum. It is not a visit I would make twice. I was very...
Read moreThis museum is absolutely AMAZING!!!! the gentlemen welcomed us in and had a great personality, a warm smile, and overall was very welcoming, he often times took time to talk with us about the museum and the collection, as well as some of the history behind parts of the exhibits and even the statues of the soldiers out front. the uss missouri model was stunning, and the amount of detail put into it you can tell was done with love and admiration, I cannot recall the gentleman's name however which is very unfortunate, as again he welcomed us in with a warm personality, the amount of dedication put into the exhibits is delightful for lack of better words, this museum is a MUST for any military history enthusiast or even for those simple intrigued by it, the wall of names for those lost during World War 2 brought tears to my eyes, knowing that they gave the ultimate sacrifice for those of us that live in the world today (I'm a little biased when it comes to ww2 as that's my favorite part of history to learn about) but all of the exhibits were simply amazing, and I WILL BE RETURNING. Thank you to the gentleman whos name flees from me, you had a great personality, a very warm and open welcome, BY FAR the best part of my trip to branson (below is only a small portion of the pictures I took, so go see for yourself the wonderful, and beautiful museum that is the veterans memorial museum...
Read moreVery rude staff. CALLED my kids IDOTS for playing on an outside statue that had nothing posted or a sign saying not to. She yelled at my kids to where my kids are in tears. All my kids wanted to do was learn a little history and in a fun way. I didn’t see the harm in playing on a man made statue that had no posted signs not to. I strongly recommended learning history someplace else where your kids won’t be called IDOTS. I obviously didn’t catch her name but that older lady with white blonde hair should be shamed of herself for the way she acted and to call kids Idiots! Very unprofessional! I even apologized before she called my kids idiots because we where unaware you couldn’t play on a statues that says not to do so. There is no way any kid should be treated so nasty. Im still mind blown she had the nerve to call kids IDOTS. She needs to be taken care of.... she is what’s wrong with this world today! Bringing kids spirits down at such a young age. My kids are 8 and 6 years old! I have all respect for the military and the people who served for our county and it’s a shame my kids had such a awful experience trying to learn about our history!!!!! The employee was an Older white lady with white blonde hair and...
